If I hadn't fallen into 480's(COR's fault) I'd have to of had by now a 500L, because that dern same COR brought a 500L to camp and let us all try it. Dreamy, to drool over gun. Sigh.. Thank You COR !

Put together some more 44 Special shot loads Here is a picture comparing the un fire-formed shot shell vs a fire-formed one. And the resulting pattern at close to 10 yards. this was 4 shots. Jonathan.

We are set up for a week of cruddy weather here. Wont be casting anything till it moderates. Ran 200 rounds of 300 Blackout through the Dillon 650 yesterday. Im hoping to do some hog hunting soon.

More of this for my Mauser M12 308 Win. First trip out. Not bad for a $500 rifle.

Last night it was Unique night for the .41 mag and .44 special and cast bullets. Tonight its IMR 4895 and 165's for the .308 Striker and maybe RL7 for the 12 in Contender 45-70 and some 300 gr cast. The 45-70 brass is being cleaned right now so in a bit I will go back down and finish, .308's are loaded.

Getting funky. I have a Dan Wesson revolver here in 256 Winchester. I don't have any jacketed bullets here of appropriate diameter/weight for the project. I do however have some 87gr WFN plain base cast bullets that I got from Huntington's a long time ago for use in my 25-20 model 92 rifle. The bore on that rifle is moonscape rough, and it's not friendly to the cast bullets.
I fired a piece of factory 256 ammunition in the Dan gun, measured the neck inside and out, and figured that I could make this run via paper patching if I could get some 0.001" patch material. ZigZag white label cigarette rolling papers measure an even thou.
Two wraps and I have clearance with a seated bullet.
Starting load of thirteen grains 4227 goes bang, burns cleanly, and doesn't lead the bore.
I'll screw with it more later and chronograph it then see about accuracy at 75 or 100 yards
Fun though. Gotta love micro paper patched wheelgun loads!
