I’d say you made your point!! Loving the bocote grips!!! Nice piggie, lefty. Here's one from yesterday's adventure. I was following an old ATV trail back to the truck while scouting for hogs. Almost walked right up to this coiled water moccasin in the center of the trail... It held its ground ready to strike until introduced to Mr Ruger. One round from the 77/44 sent it about 10 feet into the air. Love my 44s.

Awesome rig Joe, is it stock or custom leather? Wondering who made it. That was made by my friend at Big Rob’s gunleather. It is a very nice cross draw rig.

not posted any pictures since I had to put my outside doggie down... got a new farm doggie last week... we picked up a 3 year old English Shepherd... for the most part she seems perfect for the farm... couldn't really get a straight or believable answer why they wanted wanted to get rid of her... after 4-5 days on the farm, I think she is a chicken killer, but otherwise pretty much the perfect farm dog... we have 2 "wild" chickens we keep in a pasture, & she seems to be able to control herself when in the pasture with just 2 chickens, but when I'm doing chicken chores, with the hens in the runs, or the noisy "Silkies" in an outside pen, you can just read on her face, that she really "needs" one of those in her mouth I've not seen any rabbits since she has been here... last night I saw the flicker of a cotton tail in the front yard, followed by the flash of the dog... she stopped at the boundary I've been working on her with ( the edge of the corn field ) she stopped & let it go... was told by her previous owners, that she loves to catch rats & rabbits, & leaves them by the door of the house to show off... so far she's not caught anything, but on our boundary walks, I can tell that the red squirrels get her attention immediately... I'm in the process of buying a 4" 22 J Frame that will fit in my Simply Rugged flap holster I had made for farm gun use... looking forward to working with the new dog on farm varmint removal New dog Macy... cabled on the 1st day, except when out on boundary walks with me, & a pocket full of dog treats... now we just tie her up at night... by the end of the week, I expect she'll have free range of the farm ( except for the chicken pens )

Nice looking dog. My wife likes to watch snowshoe hares around the yard. The young ones don't understand what the dog smell is I guess . one of our dogs is a sled dog that grew up on a chain being neglected. She was never taught how to be civilized. One morning last year my wife put the dogs out when she got up for work early. A bunny made the mistake of being seen by the sled dog. Halo( the sled dog ) caught it and it started to squal. My wife grabbed Halo and was pulling on her and carrying on. Halo dropped the bunny. Wife came in and woke me from a sound sleep to go put the bunny out of its misery. Grabbed the 22 and went out only to find the bunny had revived and got out of Dodge. We have a fenced yard . After that incident the bunnys learned to stay on the outside of the fence.

got a couple pictures... shot a decent sized red pine squirrel last night... 1st with the new farm dog... she seems real interested in them when alive, but this one was dead when it hit the ground, she picked it up, but no shaking it or anything... shot with the 17 Mach 2 again ( it sits just inside the patio door ) about 40 yards from the "squirrel porch" this stub of branch that has been there for decades, FIL used to hang feeders from it, on the biggest walnut tree on the property, in the middle of the front yard... I continually shoot them off this spot, but as soon as one is gone, the next in line moves in, & another week or two, they present themselves to the lil 17... the latest victim... the squirrel porch... they usually sit here & eat walnuts or pine cones from the big pine in the front yard... its 40 yards from the patio door, & about 12 ft off the ground... it gives me the opportunity to slide the door open a crack, & steady off the patio door frame

A good friend and I try to get together every Wednesday evening to shoot at the club. Well this year the range has been over run with chipmunks. Most nights we have the range to our self and we set and wait for the little devils to show. We to just as I was going to shoot I see a movement and one ran across the range. Had the SS Bisley 32 mag in my hand and up it can. Boom and there layed The chipmunk! A cast 120 cup point was to much bullet but it never suffered! Was a good night to shoot!
