FINALLY!!! Got a shot and got a hog with a sixgun! Shot was about 40yds but the stalk was over 800yds. Once I knew I could make a handgun shot I laid my rifle down. I hit her with the 45 colt Ruger ONLY penta boolit backed by 22.5gr of H110 Great bullet! I use that bullet and 20 gr of 296 in my 45 Colt Handi. It is a deer HAMMER!! Mine is a harder alloy and kinda breaks apart, and man does it do the trick.

My alloy is 50/50, 50% clip weights and 50% tape weights over 22.5gr of H110 and a Federal large mag primer. No recovered bullet, I think it was a pass thru. The grips are Bocote custom made by LS Grips, that I finished. The sight is factory height just a different shape with 40LPI serrations

Bocote makes a nice looking grip. Some I made but not as nice as Zane’s work. Awesome rig Joe, is it stock or custom leather? Wondering who made it.

Loving the bocote grips!!! Nice piggie, lefty. Here's one from yesterday's adventure. I was following an old ATV trail back to the truck while scouting for hogs. Almost walked right up to this coiled water moccasin in the center of the trail... It held its ground ready to strike until introduced to Mr Ruger. One round from the 77/44 sent it about 10 feet into the air. Love my 44s.
