These all shot by me, with help from our outside doggie, that has treed the coons & the other "small predator" Mink??? these 1st 3 pictures, critters shot in the last couple weeks, since the crops came out... & all shot with a custom built 17 Mach 2 built on an old Marlin Magazine fed 22 LR... that was completed 8-10 years ago... doggie has to make sure they are dead by crushing some bones & shaking them... this 1st picture 2 coons in a same tree... which one needs shaking next... almost too many to mention Red Pine Squirrels have also fallen to the 17 Mach 2 lately... but... just so you know, I do use other tools as well... This very big possum was shot a little over a year ago, with my Ruger 480 Alaskan... 1st blood So what have you shot for critters or varmints lately???

I don't think I took any pics this year. But so far I've killed 10 or 11 red squirrels with a Browning Buckmark 22 rf this year. I shoot them around the cabin. They like to get in where its warm come winter. Which has already come. I think I got this years crop killed off. Heard 1 just before it got cold last week. I need to get an optic on it to improve my skills to cartridges ratio.

I've got a pair, living in the wall of our 100 year old farm house... They blitz right through the vinyl siding, and pink foam insulation they put on the house before we moved in... Been at war with them for several years... Was hoping if I shot everything even remotely close to the house, I'd get them sooner ot later... But they must work off a scent, and new ones move in right away???

They can store food but not water. Set up a hava-heart trap with a bowl of water in it near as you can get it to their entrance. Wire the door open for a few days and keep water bowl filled. Then unwire the door and set the trigger. Soon you will have your culprit in the trap mad as a hornet because you out smarted him.

Lazytcross.... Did you call him in or shoot him out of a trap? If you called him in what was the range when you shot him? Calling in a Wyoming songdog and shooting it with a wheelgun is on my short bucket list this winter.
