Yeah, looters..our family there, pretty much an armed camp. As best prepared place on the street, likely target. Depends on your logic I guess. The more timid low lifes will target the empty places.

We sat out a storm years ago at Nags Head. Had hoped to surf fish. Two days later, no fish, but Dad needed to get one side of his car painted. A couple years later we were stuck in a hotel room for two days near St Pete. Some decades back wife to be and me were stuck in hotel on east side of Bay Bridge, Annapolis due they won't let motorcylces over if wind above certain speed. We were coming home from Chincoteague

Been texting off and on with PG all day. We are hoping this thing is down to a Cat 1 and has moved a bit farther west by the time it gets to where he is at. The fact that it gets down to a Cat one doesn't do much to diminish the danger the flash tornado's bring to the table. He isn't out of the wood just yet. I guess I dont really need to add what I think looters should get....

Eye heading straight north now, not the NNW of earlier models. Heading your way Paul. Nephews in Gibsonton posted video to face book. Looks to be over them at 2-3am. Next high tide at 5:40am. In time to add to storm surge . TV folks haven't mentioned tides.

Tornado warnings... as if the hurricane itself wasn't bad enough. Wow.

Tampa family came thru it pretty good. Some power blips, but never lost. A tree and lots of limbs and foilage down. Storm surge plus high tide didn't reach them either. Thought they'd lose a metal shed or the back patio roof, but so far, no. Next family in line just NE of CharlestonSC.. At 13ft of elevation and between the Wando River and the ocean..my concern.

From Paul:
Lost power about 1:30. Running generator now. Got the refrigerator, a couple lights plugged into it. Lots of tree limbs down. Surprisingly I only found one little piece of shingle on the ground. The garage has 3 leaks that I saw. Haven't been in the guest house. Still have some fairly strong wind gusts coming through. According to radar we have one more round of rain coming. We are all safe. Just waiting for daylight to see everything. Have a curfew until 6:00 pm.
That text came at 5:09 AM. I thought you guys would appreciate the update.
