I haven’t seen one of those since the 90’s. We used to grind a bevel on the muzzle, and use an oversized potato, so we got a nice tight fit. We also used a piece of chicken wire at the bottom of the barrel to seat the potato on. Back then, I think we used aqua net. It was the cheapest. We had alot of fun with them things.

357 Mag Snubbie Day. Working up a load that shoots to POA at 25 yds with the S&W M360 and Ruger LCP. Wanted an easy shooting load to warn off aggresive wild life backed up by a last resort heavy. Looks like 7.0gr BE86 under a 125 gr JHP fills the bill. Carry the 360 in the pocket of my rain jacket when walking the dog in wet weather conditions. Will carry 3 of the 125s and 2 185gr LFNGCs. Bought the 360 in 2004. The orig owner lived in the southeast and the gun was carried in a sweaty body environment. It had been shot very little and the price was right. It may look rough, but it has a great single action trigger and a very good double action. Recently installed the Crimson Trace green laser grips - they need to be adjusted as the target show. After verifying POI, shot some plates at 25 yds, large popper at 50 yds and the little popper at 75 yds (only 1 for 3). Shot both single and double action. These 125gr loads make the little gun fun to shoot. FWIW, Paul

I have CT's on a 625PD and a SP101 snubbie. Makes both an ideal all day carry piece (in my opinion).

My last trip out with a revolver was with these two, a Standard Manufacturing 45 Colt and a Turnbull 45 Colt. Both really fine firearms. The Ruger required throat work.

Holed up at home. Snowing out there, cold and wet.
Perfect time to fire form K-Hornet brass! I have a 40gr soft point load for about 2600fps that gets everything done.
Open a window and targets of opportunity beware!
Nice, quiet, accurate shooting. Maybe I'll grab a reed call and see about getting one of those bastard coyotes. I have some Noslers loaded to 3000...

About 600 miles of interstate Highway as my B-I-L and I wrap up 2900 miles in 5 days. Waved at Barranti as I skirted Pittsburg headed north to pick up I-80 to make the final push to NJ.

I was surprised at the country I went through on I-80 in the middle of Pennsylvania yesterday. Not a lot of people, done real hills and elevation and lots of woods for the deer to hang out in. I even saw a sign about elk and I know the growing herd is quite an attraction but don’t know specifically where the herds are located. Even NJ had some nice non-populated country we went through on the way to where the nephew is moving to.

A couple of days ago it was a recently acquired M12 Mauser ($500 on line...) and it liked this particular combo on its first outing.

Got a few rounds of practice shooting on my Africa pistols. There’s a 6” AR steel gong on the 100 yard range. Fanning out from all angles, put 5 rounds on the gong, at distances if 75-125 yards, thru the trees, with the FA83 in 454. Switched to the contender G2 in .375. Rang steel each time, I’m happy. No missing at these ranges, should keep African size game in the workable zone for sure from 150 in. The .375 carries much better at longer ranges, so if there’s wide open area shots, it’s a no brainer.

Kings6, those Penn woods, east of rt79, north of rt 80 is where I play. A young friend bought a 67 acre chunk of a side of a mtn. north of rt80, north of DuBois, is a "Dark Skies" designated area due to lack of people and lights. My camp is north from Brookeville. SOO.. to the shooting thing. Just in from stapling up targets down on my backyard hillside range. Wife and heading out in a few minutes. She wants to shoot the new to us SP101 32 HR. I'll let her try light loads in the Bulldog and M69 too.

Bula, I thought that might be your stomping grounds based on some of your posts. Neat looking country.
