I heard the rumors but wasn't sure about how that would turn out.
I really like my 45 acp Birdshead, but I'm thinking that one could be pretty exciting when it goes off.

Might be selling my ACP to fund a 44, I was kind of thinking about switching blued for stainless anyway.

It would be a handful in a Birdshead.

Well...my first thought was to convert one to 480. So let's see if I like a full tilt 44 first.

Recoil is nowhere near the 460 S&W or 500 JRH. Even with the birdshead grips, it's really just fine. First outing might be impressive, but by the third th wrist muscle memory will be in place, it's cake.
At least, mine is for ruger level 45 colts, which I find heavier recoiling than 44 mag.
Front sight IS different. It's ramped, with a crisp transition to the top. Traditional vaquero sight is rounded. Good job, Ruger and Talo.

I like the look of it. The checkered grips should help sell some Band aids. Front sight does look like a definite improvement, from here.

Looks like a good fishing/atv'ing/woods packing gun. I've one of the mid-frame 44spec polished SS Vaq. Sheriffs. Am quite fond of it. I've not held or shot a birdhead grip, so..

Wow! I want one. It would be great in a shoulder holster.
