Does anyone know if they plan to make these in 45 Colt?

I got one of these a few weeks ago. Not much fun with Buffalo Bore's 340 grain loads -- or Garrett's 310s for that matter..... It has a very good trigger out of the box and the fit and finish is also very good.

I have gravitated towards Blackhawks and Super Blackhawks for their adjustable sights although I really like the looks of the vaquero.

Windage was good, but all of the heavy bullet loads shot low as expected.

Very cool Ruger. The "belly gun" platform is fun and useful. Not exactly a birdshead grip, and definitely not the same price point but this 3 1/3" round butt FA97 in .45 Colt weighs in at 33 oz and is more compact that a full size Ruger BH frame (not judgemental, just comparison). It is manageable with 320gr RCBS SWCGCs or 320gr Lee FNGC at a chronoed 1,130 fps and it's a delight with the aux .45 ACP cylinder. Just thought I'd share. FWIW, Paul

I was thinking large framed with that comment but the mid frames are dandy in their own right. I picked up one of the ACP versions when they came out.

Does anyone know if they plan to make these in 45 Colt? I could be mistaken, but I think Ruger is making them in both .45 Colt & .45ACP? Beautiful six-gun but with full house loads I'm betting it'd really get your attention?

They are currently making the New Vaqueros in both 45 Colt and ACP, blued or stainless finish for either caliber. I gave up on waiting and just found one of the large framed 45s for a good deal.
