MackaySagebrush, the best way is to have a gunsmith mill the old sight off, then have him "trough" the sight base so you can install one of these sights with a roll pin through the side. Or you can use JB Weld to just build up the existing sight, let it dry over night & then dress it down at the range with a finger nail file until its where you want it. Then touch it up with a black marking pen, I've done a lot of them that way if you want to give it a try. It stays on good but you can pop it off if you want to.

you ever file a piece of brass and solder it to the top of a flattened sight? I've thought about doing that. I figured it would give a nice bead. Never done it though.

I also have a fiber optic front sights for S&W revolvers with pinned front sights.
