Not sure there would be enough call for them, you're the first one to mention it. Ken O'Neil might know something about a different sight for them, maybe he will chime in.

Well mine is one. After destroying the first one i got this one to work. But not before the drill bit broke and walked down my barrel leaving the tell tale sign of a bubba smith. it polished mostly out. Throw a little holster wear in there maybe it will smooth it out some more. Thanks Dick.

Yes. Just PM him & he will respond when he sees it. Usually fairly quickly,,, unless he's "out & about."

For anyone else interested in installing a sight of this type, the hole is best drilled with a hand powered drill with the gun barrel secured in a vise. Wrong or right, I call it a jeweler's drill. I got mine off Amazon for cheap. It's just the ticket as it will go as slow as your hands drive the crank giving total control, and its chuck will easily grip the small drill bit required.
I've done a couple of Rugers, and quite a few S&W's. The best approach is to drill halfway from one side, and then drill the other half of the hole from the other side. This means that the holes will be close, but not totally aligned, which is just the ticket, as the slight choke point acts as a clinch point to secure the pin after it is lightly tapped in with a gentle mallet and punch.
Some folks will use a clamp to hold downward pressure on the sight into the base as the drilling and pinning are done, with the idea that once the pressure is released, the sight will ease back upward against the installed pin, but I find that a fully seated sight blade is adequately tight and secure after having the pin clinched by having drilled the hole to the halfway point from each side, all done without a clamp or pressure.

Thats exactly why we don't pre drill them, drilling half way from each side insures a good, tight fit of the roll pin.

Best policy Dick, as the pin hole will be slightly different for each gun, and a predrilled hole may make for a wallowed out too large hole, loose final fit, and botched job. You are wise to sell them undrilled.
Nice looking sight by the way!

Axel thanks for the tip on the jewelers drill. Great idea! I've replaced several SP Ruger sights with Meprolights and S&W front sights with Hi-Viz and your comments are spot on!

No, not even close. That's what folks around here call a pin vise. The drill I use is made by an outfit named Schroeder, and I got it off Amazon. It has a crank that the operator turns to drive the chuck. Sort of reminds me of an egg beater, but is actually very precise and easy to control. I think that mine was about $30.00 to my front door. Likely to be more costly now.

BUUUUUUUUUMMMMP!!
That looks quite cool!
I have an older 5.5" gun with non removable FS, that could use a taller front sight for long range stuff. What's the best way to accomplish that?
