I AM WORKING UP A "THE SIXGUNS OF BILL GROVER" FOR MY REGULAR "THE SIXGUNNER" FEATURE IN AMERICAN HANDGUNNER. IF YOU HAVE SOME GOOD PICTURES OF GREAT GROVER GUNS YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE DISPLAYED PLEASE POST THEM HERE. POSTING GIVES ME PERMISSION TO USE THE. I CANNOT PROMISE WHICH WILL BE USED OR WHEN THE ARTICLE WILL APPPEAR. USING CARPETING OR A BLANKET FOR A BACKGROUND SIMPLY DOESN'T WORK.

There are some beautiful TLA revolvers that stay with these guys.... While there are some bright spots I can't say much for their general picture taking ability but they have the hardware....

Well, yeah, for certain I'm not a great photographer. But, at least I'm careful to keep my toes out of the shot(Ruger Hunters topic). Maybe if mine were beautifully pedicured like some, but they're not!

Hey... We might inspire JT to do a book on toes! Old toes do look good for a 56 year old diabetic huh?

JT's the only thing keeping me buying AH. I've got my #5 grip frame on the way from Ron Power. I ordered stainless and don't have a clue as to what i'll put it on. Sad, but I had to have one. All I know is I want my first set of one piece grips to put on it. I spent Friday night looking at "Single Action Sixguns" for grip ideas. I love fancy walnut, but have it on all of my guns. Need to try something different?

I promise I'm learning and reading everything I can get my hands on but I still get stumped / mystified. What the heck is a "TLA revolver"?

I believe it stands for "Texas Longhorn Arms" ....IIRC, the name of the late Bill Grover's company.

This is my TLA #5 in .44 magnum. This one was being built at the same time your #K-44 was in the works. Since you beat me to that serial number I had to take my second choice, my wedding date K-990. If you can use the pictures they are yours.

I have a TLA SAA 7 1/2" barrel, .44 mag/.44 sp cylinder and a .44 WCF cylinder engraved, used for SASS, ivory checkered grips in a walnut case. It does have a personalized s/n.

Years agao I passed on a great deal for a TLA. At the time I didn't know what it was and have been kicking myself from the day I foud out. I passed up on a great deal on a #5 .44 a few years back, because the wife wouldn't let me have it! I have since gotten rid of her, and have been rewarded with (among other things) a .44 Magnum #5, a .45 Colt/ACP #5 (one of a kind), a .45 Colt West Texas Flattop Target (the last gun out of the factory), and a .41 magnum West Texas Flattop Target (one of a kind).
