I AM WORKING UP A "THE SIXGUNS OF BILL GROVER" FOR MY REGULAR "THE SIXGUNNER" FEATURE IN AMERICAN HANDGUNNER. IF YOU HAVE SOME GOOD PICTURES OF GREAT GROVER GUNS YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE DISPLAYED PLEASE POST THEM HERE. POSTING GIVES ME PERMISSION TO USE THE. I CANNOT PROMISE WHICH WILL BE USED OR WHEN THE ARTICLE WILL APPPEAR. USING CARPETING OR A BLANKET FOR A BACKGROUND SIMPLY DOESN'T WORK. Would you rather I mailed you a CD with high-res images?

Those are some real beauties, MajorKap! Please pardon my ignorance here...what is that lower pin in the front of the frame, held by the screwed in retainer?

Dang it Charger Fan... Good thing I have burned my smite or you might get it! Go get your TLA out and look! It is a spring loaded pin that latches the base pin lock.... Don't have a TLA? Hmmmmm another smite earned!

Axe....we could just as easily smite you for not owning a Seville. Seriously, this karma function is pretty stupid. I may have to put it to a vote on whether it stays. I don't like seeing anyone with negatives by their name. -Lee www.singleactions.com

We'll find you a Seville. With the size of your collection, you definitely need a Seville/El Dorado or two. -Lee www.singleactions.com

LOL! ;D Axe, you're having way too much fun with the karma points. That's a different way of going about locking in the pin, but it looks cool. If not for anything else, it's a good conversation point.

Those are some real beauties, MajorKap! Please pardon my ignorance here...what is that lower pin in the front of the frame, held by the screwed in retainer? Well, let me see if I can better explain it with pictures...just in case some reader might still be a little confused. Not all TLA revolvers have it....just the Improved #5s. This here little thingy is under spring pressure. You push it in with a finger tip. Now...this doo-dad rotates a bit. Kinda like the hand on a clock face, sort of. See that cut- slot in the base pin? Do ya? Well, it's there so the distal end of the aforementioned doo-dad can nestle into it. Now, the base pin is pushed back into it's resting place. Can you guess what's gonna happen next? There now. All is good and complete. Expensive to manufacture? It had to be. Largely unnecessary? Most likely. Cool and trick feature? Absolutely. Plus, you can be darn well certain the pin ain't gonna back out under recoil!
