Re-run of Mihec 314640 115 grain HP with GC or PB This is a re-run for an exceptional bullet. I have been testing a lot of .32 bullets lately, and this one is a top performer. Don't miss out this time as I did last time! It is a shooter and in my mind the perfect balance of weight, speed obtainable, and design for top performance in the .327 Federal, .32 H&R, and .32-20. Mihec has given the go ahead to do the re- run and shouldn't take long to get out. State 2 or 4 cavity, HP or solid. Same pin options as last buy. WE NEED 20 MOLDS TO MAKE THIS A GO, PREFERABLY 4 CAVITY. castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?275868-Re-run-of-Mihec-314640-115-grain-HP-with-GC-or-PB&p=3222063#post3222063

You've been testing a GC version, right?

That's me shooting the GC Miha 115. It's the only 32 mold on the planet Jeff doesn't have. I'm getting ready to send him mine so he can cast a big pile, paint said pile, and test aplenty.
Meanwhile, I'm going to sign up for a plain base version of the good Miha 115. It really is a great design and YOU shouldn't miss out!

I want to paint me some!
I have an older Dillon tumbler set aside for the PETA chores!!
Can't argue with Jeff's success. I plan to try them painted AND lubed...

In the 327 brass you will need to crimp it just a little ahead of the crimp groove or it will be a tad too long for the cylinder. It works OK there for me, but I'm no expert like Tank.

Steve, if you would just keep me in supply of this bullet, along with Panamanian coffee, and Idaho spuds, life would be grand, and I wouldn't need to buy the mold. As to expert, I'm just some mope rolling bullets in powder, and then baking, loading and shooting them, and reporting my results. Maybe if I had a white lab coat and clip board...... dougader, the HP pins reverse for solids, but the HP pin will protrude the bottom of your mold, making it hard or impossible to use your mold guide on bottom pour furnaces. Much easier to use blank pins!

I have one of these in the 115gr GC version. Even with the HP pins, my mold casts a pile of fine bullets fast! I have never had any issues with the pins. Use Miha's lube on the pin shafts and cast hot (I use 775F). Very accurate in my Single Seven, OL of 1.480in, 12.5gr of 296, CCISP, Starline brass. Too long to use the crimp groove in the Single Seven but works fine anyway.

Thanks, Tank and Steve for the insight.
Bill, Do you crimp just above the groove like Steve, or do you crimp over the front driving band like we do with the Lyman/Keith 358429 to fit in a M27 S&W?
Thanks again, guys.

As 2 Dogs says, I just seat them to cylinder length. My Single Seven cylinder is right at 1.500in so I use 1.480in OAL. This is just ahead of the crimp groove. This bullet does not have a front driving band of any significance. I have not had any issues with bullet pull but I do use a tight expander: 0.3085 with bullets sized 0.313. I tried a Redding Profile Crimp die but I was buckling cases now and then. Now I just use an RCBS seater to crimp. I like the results I am getting in this little revolver.
