Appears to be a HP'p, GC'd version of Lyman's old .32 standby the 311008, a bullet originally designed for the .32-20. It's a good one.

Would this bullet be too heavy for 32SWL in a K32? I have an older 32-20 M&P as well. I'm not going to run it full speed in either gun, but I don't need multiple 32 dies.

I have one of these in the 115gr GC version. Even with the HP pins, my mold casts a pile of fine bullets fast! I have never had any issues with the pins. Use Miha's lube on the pin shafts and cast hot (I use 775F). Very accurate in my Single Seven, OL of 1.480in, 12.5gr of 296, CCISP, Starline brass. Too long to use the crimp groove in the Single Seven but works fine anyway. Bill Idaho Bill, thanks for the load info!

This bullet will work fine in your sixguns with appropriate powder charges. "Appropriate being fast enough to stabilize the bullet, but not so much that it puts undue strain on the gun? Apologies for belaboring the point, I just want to make sure I'm not going to be rough on my old 32s. I like "heavy-for-caliber" bullets, but don't have much experience with them in the 32cals. ETA: I went ahead and put my name in for a 4cav PB with large HP and flat pins. I found enough info on loading the 32SWL with heavier bullets to satisfy me. It occurred to me that this would make a dandy plinker for the 308 if I ran it through a sizer. Chris

We are at 15 molds right now. 5 more are needed to get a slot on Miha's production schediule. Not bad for a 2 day run so far!

Does Miha ever do molds with a mix of gc and pb cavities? I don't recall seeing one before, but I wonder. This mold would be sweet with 2 cavities of each!

No, Snappy, but you could order one of each.

Ok. I have not started casting yet but want to and this is a perfect start. My question is, gas check or no gas check? I will only be getting one mold. Powder coating is likely going to be on my agenda.

Glad I got to you before Fermin, ethang. If PC is in your future, as it is the future of cast bullets, go with the plain base. You will be rewarded by not having to buy GC's, which run about 3 cents a piece these days, and the hassle of putting them on. Plain base are my favorites, for those reasons, plus, there is just something about a simple cast slug punching thru whatever you're aiming at, be it paper, steel, or game. Just my biased opinion. For gilt edge accuracy, GC will be easier to obtain those goals, with less load developement and testing. Both can be extremely accurate.
Actually ethang, I think Fermin may be weakening to the seduction of those that coat and bake. I have noticed him ordering a few PB molds himself. Given the velocities he enjoys launching his alloyed projectiles, PC makes sense.
WE ARE UP TO 18 MOLDS NOW!

You didn't beat me to him Jeff, I just waited for your response before I cut in on your thread. Still, you're response is spot on, and besides, one cannot argue with your results.

How does the group mold buy work. Who does the money get sent to? I don't go that site often and I am not a member.

cj3a, you simply join, state the desired style mold you want, and when molds are complete, Miha will send a Paypal request to your Email account. I've got a pile of molds of different makes. While all are dear to me, these Miha molds are the shining star! There is simply no better, easier, faster way to cast HP bullets, other than having someone else do it!
