Oh, back to the non-solid projectile loads for a moment. Since outwardly rice loads look like shotshell loads...magic marked "R's" and "9's" where appropriate. This right on top of the dried Elmers Glue. Stay safe folks, and whack them varmints ! If you heft them in your hand for a monment you can tell by the weight, but during the heat of battle...well.

"Not in the same case" ! Glad ya added that, looked like you were about to achieve critical mass and go nuclear. First cup of coffee heading down the pike right now. Am considering more strange, multi-use munitions for today. Odd, niche use things beyond the boring single projectile loads most of us use 99.99 percent of the time. Someone has to go after that poor last bit of ballistic mayhem ! Too bad my efforts at ear plug/nerf bullets didn't work last year. Hmmnnn, jelly beans ? Happy Easter !

As you go up in bore size, case volume, the range of possible projectiles widens. In the movie, "Sweet Home Alabama" an old bird uses a Civil War morter or something, to launch anvils. Don't think you'd need a lot of muzzle velocity to whack a deer with that hardware ! Sooo.. what is the oddest loading you've come up with ?

Revisited my Lee Classic Cast turret press last night after letting it sit idle since last summer. I disassembled, cleaned, and relubed it. Was a little disappointed to find some oxidation, but quickly got over it.
Cleaned up my work area. Trashed a bunch of remnants and garbage that had collected over the last year. Was amazed by the pleasant effect of a little organization.
Decapped and resized 250 rounds of .44 special.
Ready to roll.

Oh, I don't actually plan to launch jelly beans from Rugers. I just can't come up with a real useage for the projectile, so..
