Interesting question by the OP. Now that I think about it, guns and shooting are probably my second obsession. My first love is hunting for "indian" artifacts and fossils. In addition to shooting, when I was a kid my Dad got me interested in walking fields and creeks in search of arrowheads. He lost interest in it...I didn't. Been doing it for 30 years and I'll probably continue until I get too old to do it

Interesting question. I have too many interests to focus on any of them to my liking - not enough time or money. Having said that, guns and knives just go together - I've got a growing collection of autos (both OTF and side opening) and flippers as well as quite a few Case Cheetahs. In addition, I am in to 4wheeling (rock crawling) my 73 Bronco and try to get out West as much as I can (CO, UT, and NM specifically).
However, guns are my current no. 1 passion...

Playing music (mandolin, guitar, and old-time "clawhammer" banjo), illustration, collecting stringed musical instruments and pocket watches. I have thus far resisted the urge to get into wrist watches, as I can't afford another hobby.

A lot of cool interests thus far! Pictures help too! I have thus far resisted the urge to get into wrist watches, as I can't afford another hobby. This was one of my intentions in getting back into guns! My plan is to eventually downgrade into a hobby that requires virtually no money like cross-stitching Since getting back into guns I've thought about selling just one watch to fund consecutive #5s with all the bells and whistles but it's a move I'd never be able to reverse and at the expense of an SAA. Of course, one #5 from a top smith would suffice along with another fine flavor sprinkled-in, but you get the idea... So yeah, don't even think about dipping a toe into the wristwatch pool as it's very deep. If you do be sure to find that one special watch and walk away!

Hi...
I have a couple of interests other than shooting, reloading and hunting.
I have studied military history(focusing on WWII) and paleontology since my high school days. I would rather spread out a few books in the den and study one of those subjects with classical music playing in the background on a cold winter night than watch television.
Add a cup of hot Earl Grey tea and I can stay occupied for hours at a time.

Recently, I've decided to draw out part of an engraving template for my vaquero prior to it being sent off to the engraver in order to incorporate a family crest. I like to listen to violin concerto-rich orchestras as I've always wanted to learn to play the violin.

Wrenching on old cars and trucks along with trapping in winter and sailing in the summer keep me occupied.

Besides fly fishing and tying, I am a surfer, year round here in New Jersey Very cool! My sister and brother both live in Santa Cruz and now my nephew is an avid surfer. I can swim like a fish but I have zero coordination to dance let alone surf.

I don't feel so alone now that 375 and sierra are here. I too love WWII history, especially interested in the folks that ran from 1933-45. Paleontology is cool too - I read a lot of tech stuff that most people would'nt understand. I also listen to classical - on vinyl through a tube amp sometimes - even have some ancient recordings on single sided 78rpm discs
