I understand the profit motive thing but how many X frames need to be sold to break even on introducing a new frame size. Seems like there would be a whole lot of other models in existing frame sizes that would sell with much less initial investment.
And the Judge thing I just don't get, not to mention the Governor.

19.0gr of 2400 pushing a 220gr Lyman 410459 has been my standard hunting load for years. That is not a "medium" load though. According to my Chrony that load was 1500fps out of a 7 1/2" Bisley.
7.5grs of Unique and the 215gr SWC has proven to be a good medium loading.

Duct Tape,
If the picture on the website is to be believed, the Rimrock SWC is not a 429421. That would account for the difference in OAL. I think your swc has more bullet in the case than a "Keith" bullet.

I prefer my Bisley to my Lipsey's 44Spl XR3, even with the replacement grips.
I have very large hands (XXXL) and absolutely despise large grips on any handgun. I've never understood the concept of a grip being larger at the bottom where the shorter fingers are. Some of the most comfortable grips I own are Spegal Boot Grips on a J frame. Even with my large hands I find them to be the most usable of any I've tried.
This topic is of particular interest to me because I am finalizing plans for a custom Flat Top and can't decide on the grip frame. I want a round butt for aesthetic reasons but I've never handled much less shot a round butted single action. To my hand the size and shape of a Pachmayr Compac is almost perfect. If that basic design could be adapted to a single action I think I would be very happy. But, my magnums will always have Bisley grips.

It's made its way to Pennsylvania now, supposed to get as much as a foot overnight. Somedays I really miss Florida.

I'll throw in with everybody else and say the Bowen sight. I have a Millett on a Security Six and a Bowen on a Blackhawk and there really is no comparison.

And if they are still protected it seems that a market might exist for them if they were to be reprinted.

It's not often I can get to the range before April 15 but the weather was so nice today (Sunny and mid 70's) I just couldn't help myself. First is from 25 yards And then 50 yards Not sure what happened with the flyer. The load was 18gr of 2400 pushing a 215gr SWC out of my 41 mag Bisley Blackhawk.
