Is the Neal Waltz die still available for sale? Have been looking for one of those that can both make a flat nose as well as a hollow point.

You probably need to define “better”,……….better looking!! OMG YES!!! Trapr Without a doubt, it is far, far better looking! Is it better at handling recoil? I haven't shot the factory banana bisley grip to be able to compare, but what I can tell you is that with full-power 500 JRH loads in my JRH gripped BFR, there is absolutely no pain. The grip shape and area spread the recoil out enough in the hand so that your job is mainly just to grip tight, focus on the front sight, squeeze the trigger, and hang on. Here's mine...

Mine will cycle 45 Colt if the COL is not on the very short side. I was surprised, but it will also cycle (but barely) the Garrett .45 RHO 405 grain load at 1.785".

If anyone has a few extra 45 cal A-frames (265, 300,or 325 grain) and would be willing to sell, I'm buying!

I just talked with Bill, the owner of Swift. He said they have been hard hit over the last couple of years, just like many others, and they are in the process of getting caught up. His estimate of beginning production again on the revolver bullets is a year from now at least. Troubling to me was what he said about the 45 cal bullets in particular: he said demand on those is low and sales were slow, so the 45s are not high on their priority list. He attributed this to the A-frames not opening well at sedate 45 Colt velocities, and not enough shooters loading faster 45 Colt or 454 Casull and wanting A-frames. Bill also said that the 41 cal bullets are slow-selling too.
I'm wondering if collectively we couldn't let him know that we value these bullets and will buy plenty if they produce them. They are expensive for sure, and I know most of use shoot cast bullets, but I've not found any better expanding bullets for higher-velocity revolver cartridges that really work well on game every time.

HAVE YOU GUYS TRIED SWIFT DIRECT? I HAVE SOME 265's AND 300's BUT I AM KEEPING THEM, ESPECIALLY WITH A ROSSI 454 R92 ON THE WAY. Swift doesn't have them either. These A-frames would be used in my Rossi 454 as well.

Does anyone know when (or if) the A-frame revolver bullets will be made again? I'm needing 45 cal 300 grainers (but would also take the 265 or 325 grain), and everyone has been out of stock for quite some time.

My first revolver was my great-grandfather's Police Positive Special in 32-20 with a 6" barrel.

Since I was big into .45s already, I skipped the .475s and went to the .50s. I wanted a .500 Linebaugh so bad for a long time, but eventually "settled" for the JRH, and I'm really glad I did. A 440 grain at 1400 fps or so is about all I can handle and shoot remotely accurately in the BFR platform, and downloading that bullet to 1000 fps recoils like a hot .45 Colt but will still penetrate nearly everything. If you ever get a .500 S&W, you can share some bullets with the JRH and your AE. I got my BFR secondhand...it has a FA front sight and a custom Bisley-like grip mod from Jack Huntington himself (done before the factory grip option was available).

Really nice bullets! Where would one obtain a mold for the OWC design? Also, what's the nose length on the .835 NLN bullet and in which cartridge will you use it? Thanks.
