Are they going to make anymore A-FRAMES? I talked with the owner of Swift bullets less than a year ago, and from what he was willing to say, it sounded like he didn't have immediate plans to produce many more revolver bullets because of low sales. We both were a bit sad.

This is just a deep-seated 9x23 Winchester, which operates at 55k psi. Any 1911 or full size Witness pistol capable of using a 38 Super magazine can be rechambered from 9mm to 9x23 Win and utilize the full-length cartridge. With the right powders and careful handloading, you can get a 124 grain to 1600 fps or a 147 grain to 1400 fps in a fully-supported barrel easily and without danger. It's a 9- or 17-shot 357 magnum with much less recoil that is only a barrel and springs change away. Also, no comp is necessary.

Reading Ross when I was a teenager was the reason I HAD to have a ruger bisly in 45 colt. Bought one at 17 years old and now at 42 still have it . Ditto. Bought my Ruger 45 Colt at age 16 because of Ross's Guns & Ammo articles. First loads it saw were a 300 grain bullet over a max charge of W296. My only regret was that it wasn't a five-shot custom with which I could send those bullets even faster. I'm now 46 years old.

Yes, I read it on my phone screen. My eyes are not as they used to be, so I need to zoom in, but it works. It's great on a tablet.

Remove the taper and you'd have a rimless high pressure .414 Supermag that could be used in revolvers with full moon clips.

I would never have thought that a Super hammer would look so good. Beautiful.

THE 1X ACOG IS BATTERYLESS, THE PRIMARY ARMS IS A BATTERY POWERED RED DOT True about the battery, but it's not quite a red dot. It has an etched chevron ranging reticle that works without the battery.

That looks really interesting I wonder how it would work on a revolver. I would think it should work pretty well, though I haven't tried it on a revolver.

I was just wondering if any of you have a strong opinion as to the best compromise of barrel length for velocity, packability/weight, sight radius and aesthetics. My preference has long been 5-1/2" but if you could get any barrel length in a Bisley shooting modern loads in .41, .44, or .45 what would it be and why?

I've shot numerous of these in big calibers with the banana, the plow, and the JRH modified plow They shoot great, but the modified plow is the way If I owned one of these I doubt I'd be able to resist going into it with the machines for a full sculpting of the frame There's so much material there To my eyes they look huge and unfinished Some day maybe if I find one at enough of a discount I'll do something I agree. I talked with Jack a while back about potentially taking some material off the front of the top strap and from the front of the frame for more of the Ruger single action lines, but he was against it. Said that he wouldn't want to weaken any aspects of the overbuilt strength of the frame. Even so, I'd like to see what a BFR looks like with a slightly more rounded shape and a less-square trigger guard.
