Those are good looking castings to me. What will you be shooting them out of? How hard you going to push them? Velocity? I’m considering getting into casting myself for .454.

Raw from the casting pot. I few of those are long enough nosed to limit the guns they go in but that isn't necessarily a bad thing either. There are a few good looking ones in there for my tastes...

I've thought about that ogival wadcutter design before. Big meplat should really hammer pigs.
How stable is it to 100yds? Especially at Ruger- only pressure level in the 45 Colt. I don't shoot revolvers past that, so that's all I am interested in for it.

Really nice bullets! Where would one obtain a mold for the OWC design? Also, what's the nose length on the .835 NLN bullet and in which cartridge will you use it? Thanks.

They were designed by Veral. He claims they're stable to longer distance, but I mostly want some to try at less than 50yds.

Not sure why half of these molds were designed for. I got them all at auction. I've shot the OWC bullet in heavy 45 Colt. My brother recently bought property out in the country so I will be able to do more testing. Happy Shooting! Boats

Nice looking bullets for sure. I had a series of molds made by Dan at Mountain Molds for my 454. They were all in the 320-350gn range with meplats at 70%, 80%, 90% and .400" noses. I had a chance to shoot them at the 1000yd range at the Cody Big Bore shoot one year. The 70% nose flew straight to around 1000yds, the 80% started to veer off course around 800yds, so I figured the 90% wouldn't make it as far, but it seemed to do better than the 80% nose and held to around 900yds-ish. I wasn't shooting targets, just at the gongs to get a rough idea of where they might destabilize at.

Boats What revolver is that in your avatar? Smith & Wesson 25-2 that was customized by someone. It's possibly a Jovino. I have Smith & Wesson 25-5 in Nickel that has the same custom touches done to it.

Really liking the 280 WFN. That would make a nice do it all bullet for deer and other similar sized critters.
