For a few upgrades!! I sent it back yesterday after talking with the Precision center.
Getting the barrel shortened to 6" with target crown (the stock barrel was 7.5")
Bisley gripframe fitted with white micarta grips
A new MRI rear sight.
The upgrades I listed are few, but that is all I wanted done. It's a great revolver as is out of the box. But the BFR is more the worthy for the mentioned upgrades. Hope to give an update with the next few weeks

Update: Just picked up the stainless 44 special Bisley today, I couldn't be more pleased. I plan on changing the grips, and adding a belt mountain base pin. Other then that I don't think it will need anything else.

Quick Draw McGraw is correct. Stay away from the rifle primers. have you or anyone else here loaded the cast performance .500 diameter 440 grain wide flat nose has check bullet for the .500jrh? Before I order some I wanted to make sure their nose to crimp length wasn't to long I haven't been able to find that specification I've loaded them only a couple times without issue. I have some loaded with Longshot for reduced loads- hope to try them soon. I would recommend looking at Matts Bullets (will include a link) I hear they are good bullets for the price- I'm considering the 380 grain myself. www.mattsbullets.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=66&zenid=2shn3uvobrqshktto37o0sr763

I have a few revolvers in calibers ranging from 22 magnum to 500 JRH. I'm really wanting to get another revolver and the 45/70 BFR keeps coming to mind, from what I've read allot of people really like them and with components for the 45/70 easy to find that's another plus in my opinion.
If you have a 45/70 BFR and like to share experiences and load data I would be happy to hear.

I came home to package containing a 26" stainless encore barrel in 375 JDJ, as funds are limited the rifle project will be pieced together over time. But I'm getting there, can't wait to reload for it

Update on the 375 Ruger: I picked up yesterday right before noon or so. I was blown away by the quality, balance and the way it handled in my hands. I may get flack for saying this but holding my new Ruger 375 was just like handling my marlin XLR 45-70. I love this rifle and for $619 shipped to my LGS can't beat it.
Now the fun part of finding reloading components, and let the fun begin!

Update on the 375 Ruger Alaskan laminate. Received a shipping notification with a tracking number saying my rifle will be at my LGS November 2... so far I'm really excited as this will probably be my one and only big game rifle.
Great experience with CDNN Sports Inc. I hope to do business from them again

I found a left hand 375 Ruger for a great price. Does anyone have experience with the 375 Ruger? My plans are to use the rifle when I get back to Alaska.
