What's the speed of that 230 keith & 8.5gr Unique? I’ll give an educated guess, because I don’t think I’ve clocked it, but I’d say around 1050-1100 at the muzzle. Some one else may have a better answer. If I’ve got a load that shoots good for my intended purpose, I tend to not break out all the technical equipment - only if not accurate or bullet design requires a certain velocity for proper performance. That bullet with 8.0 grains of Unique ran 1000 even from a 4.2" Redhawk. With the 6" barrel and 8.5 grains you should be in the 1100-1150 range...

Have basically the same gun...the Nightmare Carry... .357 SIG with a SIG .38 Super and Fusion 10mm barrel fitted to it....was just shooting it yesterday and tried out all three barrels.
SIG dropped all their 1911 calibers except for .45...too bad as the 1911 in .357 SIG is extremely accurate and hard hitting without a lot of recoil...

...a beautiful gun...only problem I see with it is it is so perfect there is no "need" to own anything else.

With 210s of any velocity the recoil with the standard BHs is very reasonable...250+ at 1300+ gets very "unreasonable". I save those for the heavier all steel guns like a FA 83 or the custom Gary Reeder.

I use PayPal, but have it linked to a credit card instead of a bank account. If there's a charge I don't recognize, I can dispute the charge on the credit card app. It's a lot easier to dispute a debt than get a bank account reimbursed... ...same here....I also now transfer all my money in the PP account to my CU every month. A few years ago was talking to a retired FBI computer specialist. He said that once you hit that "ENTER" button, someone, somewhere will read it.... I've told everyone I get emails from to send NO CRAP...no raciest, sexiest, conspiracy theory, etc BS or their account will be blocked. ..it used to be "be careful what you say"....now it's "be careful what you type".... When I first got "into" .327 I bought most everything that was available.. Had one of the LCRs and an older SP-101 3" with the little windage adjustable rear sight blade.
Sold the LCR as it is only a carry gun and knew I would never carry it. The SP was very accurate and tough but was like shooting a brick. Much prefer a S&W 60-10 3" .357...
Ruger had the LCRX 3" in 9mm and .327 on the schedule but has put off making them because of the COVID crisis.
So maybe one day there will be a LCRX3" in .327...

Bought one of the TALO limited edition Commanders in .38 Super a good 10 years ago..runs Super, 9mm and 9x23 Winchester with 100% reliability. Just got done shooting it in an IDPA shoot two hours ago... Looks just like this gun but has a Nickel Teflon finish on the aluminum lower and black Ceracoat slide. Couldn't be happier with the gun...
Also have a DA Guardian in .38 Super with an extra 9mm barrel. They are under-priced for what you get. Shot it last month in the IDPA shoot and there was no difference in scores...they are every way an equal of a LB...
Have got five aluminum frame Colt Commanders and have had several more...no ramps and never had a wear issue. One 1952 that I carried daily for 27 years has 7K+ rounds through it...it shot mostly HPs. Easy way to eliminate wear from an aluminum framed gun is to have the frame hard chrome plated. Three of my 5 are HC plated, the TALO Nickel Teflon and the one that has 7K through is box stock anodized.
According to Chuck Taylor, Colt Commander "Coltalloy" frames were an alloy of aluminum and titanium...which was a new metal developed just after WWII.
Never a problem with any of mine...
As to the fit/finish of Colt made guns...one gets what one pays for...

Prescust....don't know where you have looking but "locally" you'll probably find one every few years... I travel New England and haven't seen a 57 or 657 but a few times in the last 5 years...GunBroker is about the only way to go...several nice guns have sold way under what they have been over the last 3 years.

Hard to beat an N-frame .41 Magnum...doesn't beat the gun or the shooter near as bad as a .44 with full loads...
Have one 6" left in my .41 collection...a 1964 first year of production that was unfired in 1990 when I bought it at a gun show from an old farmer...he had bought it brand new and it never got fired because..."all my friends wanted to do was shoot black powder so I never got around to it"...

Bob...was wondering where you got those black SBH grips...are those ebony? I have a just about clone (mine is a 4 5/8" 3-screw SBH .44) and would like to find a set of black wood grips like that...
Thanks...Bob

My first quess is the bullet. If you are running 2" with a jacketed bullet and 6" with cast, time to find another bullet...and that said, if you are running 2" with the jacketed, and it is a HP, why play with cast?
My deer hunting TC load is a 170 Sierra JHC/26.0 H110...1800 fps...scope is a 2X Leupold.
