Seriously, we welcome everyone. Doesn't matter who you are, where you have been, or what you have done. You may agree with or disagree with anyone. Bring something of value and take what you need but please don't fan the flames of a heated discussion in an attempt to make your point of view more important than anyone elses.. It just isn't. It is simply one more opinion, one more point of view.

If all opinions were of equal value, we'd all be democrats... Knowledge and experience have merit, far beyond mere "opinion..." (or is that just another opinion...?)

And, I did add a little something... Or were you too busy trying to be offended to notice.. ? Maybe not much, but a little personal experience that was germaine to the topic.. I pray I do not make that mistake again.. This thread illustrates precisely why Lee Jurras and I drifted away from the old Sixgunner board.. Reckon I'll go back to lurking for a while...

"...just another opinion.." Eureka! I think you have got it! Now tell us what you think without all the negativity. We all pay much better attention when you have quantitative facts and pictures. We really like pictures... Won't make you right or wrong but we sincerely hope we learn something from it all.

One of Reeders guns that is interesting to me is the .45 Backpacker. It's built on your Vaquero & is trimmed down. Looks really nice.

He is currently building me a pair of his Double Deuce Single Sixes. He does a custom barrel and cylinder bore appropriate 8 shot 2 LR or a 22 Mag. I'm having one of each done on Bisley Single Sixes. Looking forward to comparing their accuracy to a FA...

Axehandle Maybe someday I'll get a custom. I have a couple tuned by Bob Munden, but so far that's about it.
I actually like Gary's work, if I ever had him build me one I'd have him leave off the engraving though.
Another that looks good to me is the Alaskan Survivalist, but that's on the Redhawk so it probably belongs in the Double action thread. Frank

I can vouch for that, Buck Elliot was a regular contributor and respected member on the original Sixgunner.com board. As was Lee Jurras and the two of us locked horns a time or two. I don't remember what happened to drive them away though.

I know - I just KNOW - I ought to stay outta this one, but.....I don't own one of Mr. Reeder's guns, probably never will. If he has encountered or had customers encounter pressure problems on ANY size frame, it is because he has obviously thinned the cylinder walls way too much with all that chicken scratchin'........

Yo TC... You finally wake up? Wait until I get this 5 shot 45 Colt back after it has been cut to 4 5/8 and round butted!

I don't remember what happened to drive them away though. It's one thing to have an intelligent debate, based on fact, it's quite another to take childish jabs like "emotionally incomplete". I haven't met the man yet that is "emotionally complete".

I gotta laugh at some guys who insist on being such turdsuckers. ALL guns have limits. You wanna pack your bags and leave? I guess thats up to you. There are a couple of guys who build guns I wouldn't let build me a ham sandwich. That don't mean I gotta bash thier wares. I just click on the next thread....
