there isn't a whole lot in the world sexier than a 5-screw 6.5" S&W N-frame, especially in .44 Special.

I agree! And might I add a Bowen tweaked pre-20 to pre-21 in .44 Special:

I've got SERIOUS bushhog envy on the Smith 45! Wow what a beautiful piece. Not a "DA" guy, but that one would be enough to make me play for that team!

I decided that I could branch out to other platforms if I kept a theme of a certain caliber. 44 SPL was an easy choice. It's begging for barrel trim to 5" & CCH hammer/trigger, but it'll get shot first.

629 no dash, Horvath massage. Kurac maples. I wish I could let all of you experience the absence of play in the lockwork

Thanks, Lee!
Bowenbuilt, I've not seen a 1950 Target with an 8 3/8" barrel. Does the gun letter like that? Very cool!

I too have a soft spot for N-frames. Sadly, I only have one left and that is my little Lew Horton Model 29.
Beautiful revolvers, gentlemen!
