Must. Resist. Urge. To. Get. On. Soapbox. And. Educate. Boge, I can send you some but they won't come from dead snakes. Each rattle segment attaches to the next like legos. Easy to pop on/off if one is so inclined. No harm, no foul. Let me know. You mean, educate me on old fiddlers' traditions? ;D I'd be glad to have them, be they from live or dead snakes. Email me ( boge@gunblast.com) for my mailing address. I've always liked snakes myself, but I give the p'isonous ones a wide berth.

Came back to read what was said. I know this forum is one of the best. Probably the best. I also know most guys are hunters. No problem. The problem is with respect. Respect for what we NEED to kill.
When I was 6years old my dad drove over a huge pregnant snake. He didn't just drive over it, he backed up and smashed it into the pavement then drove over it's eggs over and over again. When I was in grade school I was taught snakes were bad. I used to catch snakes and pin then down over ant hills until they were killed by hundred of ants. I killed a green viper in Vietnam with my hands because it was sleep with me in the monsoons. I killed a sidewinder with a rock and cut off it's rattlers and ate the snake. In my life I've killed and killed and killed until one day I woke up and said what the hell am I doing.
Like anything else killing is a habit. People have been killed by snakes, bears, people and every other thing on this planet. Doesn't mean all are bad. For many like myself killing was learned from childhood. We don't need to kill unless for sustenance and then we should give due respect thanking the animal for giving it's life to sustain ours. It's not a hard concept to grasp. In fact I believe it's pretty ancient.
I'm quite sure there are may here with impressive credentials whatever that means to you. I don't brag. Never have. Just wanted some of you to understand where I'm coming from. I disrespect anyone who kills for fun or joy or sport. Totally disrespect them because I was one of them, and I disrespect much of what my life was about.
I'm not going to preach any further. Everyone needs to follow their own path. Good forum here....and you all take care.

Don't stir your latte with the barrel, however, it leaves traces of oak, and peach with a hint of plum and the nose is of lingering Hoppes. I love it! ;D nearly spewed my coffee on the 'puter and it does burn going up yer nose.....

This is in my opinion very disturbing behavior, dont care how old you were. It is quite different then shooting a dangerous snake that is encroaching on my habitat. Just like I'll take of bug spray to wipe out a hornets nest that is to close for my comfort. You can take them down by hand and move if you want to.

If you have something to contribute to Single actions that would be fine however that so far has not been the case.
Well Scuba and Rightwiner this started as a great post by a new member and you Scuba had to crap all over his parade with your remarks as a first time member here. That in and buy itself is not to egregious. However you tried to use Vietnam and the Marine Corps as a thumping platform and that is your second mistake.
This is a web site dedicated to firearms and firearms were meant to kill things with. If there is something you do not understand about this they we are willing to enlighten both of you.
If you are here to give us the crying jag about killing or make someone here feel guilty you are mistaken. Before you both get your PANTIES twisted let me suggest you find a DO NOT KILL web site and cry over there.

Well... After reading all this stuff I guess I'll stick my head in the oven too.. Here in the south we grow rattlesnakes big enough to bog down a bush hog behind a 50HP John Deer. There are parts of the state where you'd better be wearing snake bite proof gear when you go there. All that in mind... ALL Venomous snakes where children frequent will die at my hand when I see them and although I hear they are good eating, I haven't eaten one yet.

New here? Dont fit in? We have had guys like that before. They dont normally stay long.
Myself, I am willing to listen to any one who might have something interesting to say about a sixgun. If you want to stay but dont like a particular thread just switch to the next one.
I know agrizz personally, have the greatest respect for him and can tell you for a FACT he aint bragging. Not that I am saying that either of you are bragging or are not the real thing.
BUT we shoot stuff. We take pics of the stuff we shot. We all tell each other about it. We all enjoy it. If thats not you, WHY are you here?

Hey you're right. Guys like me normally don't stay around long. Ok here's what we do. Before I say something I'll regret here's the plan. All you big bad dudes who're afraid of snakes or anything else that walks or crawls listen up. You guys carry on with your circle jerk. When you're done contact the mod or whoever the hell runs this place and have my ip address banned forever.
End of story...now carry on ladies..

Look Suba if you are willing to contribute to the single actions forum I have no objections to you staying round. If not I suggest that you, I am assuming that you are a male, go to the far South West corner of your room and have a date with Old Rosey Palm and her five daughters. Then come back and see if you have something constructive to put on the web site.
If not it is should not be necessary for this site to cut off your ip address should have enough sense to do that yourself.

What the hell, I may as well jump in too. I personally don't believe in killing something just to kill it, after all killing IS kinda final.......but.....if a poisonous snake, or any other danger, beast or man, is close to anyone of my loved ones.......you just do what needs to be done.

Rightwiner you have missed the entire point here. No one is trying to cut either one of you off unless you are purposely walking all over someone else. The point is if you have nothing to contribute don’t ruin it for the person that started his post. They are entitled to "freedom of speech" as well as are you.
If you have a 44 and like the way it shoots post it with the targets. if you have a particular rifle you like and have refinished the stock let us know how and what you used to do the job with. If you have found a gun on another web site let the rest of the site know.
You do not believe in killing that is just fine you do not have to destroy another person’s post with your belief.
“Freedom of Speech” was won for you on the backs of millions of previous people most of them dead and forgotten. None the less they did this for YOUR right to "freedom of speech" and that applies to the person that started this post as well not just you. Included in here is a degree of understanding that all beliefs are not the same as yours.
Remember for all of the millions of killers that have gone before us and the millions of us killers that remain. If it were not for the killers you would not be saying “Freedom of Speech”. You would most certainly be saying "Sig Heil". Dude.
