Well, what's that saying....You can't take it with you!
Might as well spend it on something important, like six-guns, bullets, powder, primers, .....

Smart decision there Synd. 10 years from now you will still cherish the revolver and if you did not order it the money would of been peed away on something long forgotten.

You're screwed!
I just got the wife to sign off on the next custom. It's been a while for me. Now to decide if it's to be an Old Model .38-40 (possibly a .401 convertible) or a Bisley .500JRH and all those wonderful details. I'm going all out on this one!

I just sold off one of my big-bore revolvers, and am plotting the next one......it's never ending......Snyd, get out while you still can -- LOL! ;D ;D

Everyone has a 44 Mag. You're doing the right thing by up-sizing. Speaking of 44's, I shoot a lot of Special but hardly ever work with Magnum. If I want smaller bore I go 41. If I need more horsepower, I go 45 Colt and up. For some reason I just skip over the 44 Magnum. -Lee www.singleactions.com

I'm down to two .429 mags myself, and one is being sacrificed to the big-bore gods -- also a fifty, Snyd! Wanna compare notes? PM on the way, Snyd!

I'm just the opposite, gotta bunch of .44Colt's, .44Spl's and .44Mag's. I skip right on past the .45Colt. I know a lot of folks love it but IMHO, unless we're talking blistering speeds from five-shots, I don't see the advantage.

There simply is not much in North America a properly loaded .45 Colt will not kill. Large projectiles at moderate speeds = great penetration = killing power. How's that for an advantage?

Don't feel bad. Years ago I saw an article in a gun mag that featured a .44mag Ruger Redhawk, that had gotten the full custom treatment by MagNaPort. Action job, ported, bead blasted finish with trigger and flutes polished, 2X Leupold scope the ultimate hunting handgun. I couldn't wait, bought a Redhawk and a scope, sent it off to MagNaPort. When it came back 6 weeks later, it was gorgeous. After admiring it for about a day or so, I said to myself, "...but you don't hunt." Ended up selling it a few months later. Lesson learned...I hope !
