Lee, I like your street rod!! My 1st "new" car was a 66 Pontiac 2 + 2, 421 HO. A lead sled, but factory under rated at 376 HP, and it would blow the doors off all but a Judge on the street. Had very rare tri-power carbs, the center 2 barrel was same big size as the other 2. Standard set up was 2 large and the center small for gas mileage. A low production hi $ collectors car today.

That Nailhead has stump-pulling torque (of course straight linkage dual quads, a ridiculously big cam, and 12.5 to 1 fists don't hurt). And like a drag car, it loves putting air under the front tires. -Lee www.singleactions.com

Jayhawker....I'm sure you do wish you still had it. Those old 421 H.O.s were one hell of an engine. -Lee www.singleactions.com

Lee: what you got running in the 9 sec range? Just a back-half Nova with a stroked 15:1 SBC on alcohol. -Lee www.singleactions.comThat Nova looks downright mean. All business with that stance. Why are the wheelie bars set so high though?

Thanks. The car has 5.43 cogs out back and wheelstands hard. We welded the bars on, tried various positions, and watched our 60 foots increase (went from 1.30 - 1.31's w/o bars to high 1.30's with). Being a back-half car it really wants to ride on the back tires to hook. -Lee www.singleactions.com
