Very nice indeed but there is some lint here and there (I've got pics of that gun saved on my hard drive from the recent past if that's any testament to me liking it!)

Top Right, Dustin Linebaugh's prototype 38-40 (Same gun as seen on his webpage) 6.5" Octagon barrel, target front sight, cocobolo grips with stainless grip frame. I've shot that gun and it really shoots. It wears a Pac-nor Polyagonal barrel.
Top Left, One of John Linebaugh's early 45 colts, single digit serial number, and renewed front sight to a semi patridge instead of a ramp. Grips by Dustin, Ebony I think.
Bottom right: 38-40 by John Linebaugh. The #2 gun. 6.5" barrel with barrel band, 20 degree semi patridge front sight and two gold bar inlay. Long Ejector rod housing, Bowen target rear, Belt mountain base pin. The cylinder is a 6 shot ( as is Dustin's) Both are the oversize cylinder, or same diameter as a 475/500's Re-contoured Ruger grips. Douglas conventional rifled barrel. Smallest group shot was: 100 yards, Three shots from same chamber. 200 grain Beartooth FNGC bullet. 29.0 H-110. Reformed WW 44-40 brass. Velocity 1750 fps. Iron sights from the bench off sandbags. 1.75" for three shots.
Bottom left: Just outta the package! John Linebaugh 5.5" 500 Linebaugh same two gold inlay banded front sight as the 38-40 all the bells and whistles, base pin, bowen target rear. Figured walnut grips by Dustin. It has a consecutive serial number ( factory # and John's #) Twin but with 6.5" barrel like the 38-40 It and it's brother have never been fired. These are a part of a "family set" of 10 guns, All consecutive factory #'s. all in consecutive pairs of John's numbers, All as a 5.5" and 6.5" pair identical otherwise. Pairs are 38-40; 45 colt; 475 Linebaugh; 500 Linebaugh. Then #'s 9 and 10 will be an Alaskan boxed set and African boxed set, complete with Halfrich custom Knives, which will wear matching sheep horn handle/grips as the Alaskan, and matching gen-u-ine Ivory handle/grips as the African.

My apoligies for inadvertantly hi-jacking the thread. To have a Taffin commemorative firearm would be swell! My vision for one would be a conversion on the 50th anniversary 357 blackhawk, to 44 spl. 4 3/4" barrel. Color palate and engraving to look something like this:

Bowen guns are the best. I still dont care much for the engraving but at least in this case it is done with STYLE. If this was a Taffin commemorative it would sell out. NICE

I have had the pleasure of taking one of Kaytod's revolvers pictured above boar hunting. The (38-40 by John Linebaugh. The #2 gun. 6.5" barrel with barrel band, 20 degree semi patridge front sight and two gold bar inlay.) Shoots like it has eyeballs.....thumped that hog good. Loved it so much I couldn't stop talking about it. So, Mr. Kaytod's big heart kicked in...and he descided I needed one of them. So he is having one built for me right now. If he wasn't big enough to knock me out with one punch I would be tempted to kiss him when it arrives.... Love ya bro !
