I am just having John Gallagher make my own version of a JT commemorative. It is a replica of his SS4 gun right down to the TLA parts and one piece ivory grips. No "engraving" just not my style I guess but to each his own.

I won't have a dog in this hunt but would Reeder allow you to order one with only JT's signature and nothing else added? I ain't an engraving fan anyway but if I could afford it I'd really like to have one of Reeders JT guns with just his signature. I've learned a lot about custom guns and prices from you folks and Reeders prices seem pretty fair for the work done. I guess it wouldn't be a Taffin Commemorative if you ordered it any other way than what Taffin approved. Oh well don't mind me I'm just ramblin' now.

When you get right down to it, most Old Model .357 to .44Spl conversions are John Taffin commemoratives. One way or another. Of course, Skeeter may be more responsible for beginning the craze but I don't think anyone is more responsible for perpetuating it than Taffin. I know that mine was inspired by that first Lil Ruger article in American Handgunner.

Not a Reeder guns fan. Though this one does look much better than the first one posted, why does the lettering need to be so large? I subscribe to the lettering seen on the recent John Linebaugh and Hamilton Bowen guns. Simple, to the point. NO BLING BLING. JMHO Oh and by the way, I believe the paper towel background is in fact a Bounty extra thirsty version

Am I seeing a groove from notch to notch on that cylinder? Like the one on this gun:
