I just have a stainless Ruger bisley 5 1/2' barrel that was worked over by Andy Horvath. He took the warning off the barrel and the engraving off the cyclinder. He recrowned it, and it will shoot right with my FA guns. It is a favorite since I killed a bear with it this fall.

Wow....that turned out great. That's some of the best Musk Ox I've ever seen. And you're right about 5 versus 6 shot 45 Colts. With a properly fit, tight chambered 6-shot cylinder you get performance very close to what the 5-shots return. -Lee www.singleactions.com

Uberti Cattlemen Hombres: 45 Colt polished with Flitz (top) 45 acp (bottom) Cimarron with Colt SAA grips Ruger 45 Colt/acp convertible with Belt Mountain pin, SBH hammer, and stock grips stained with oxblood leather dye. This one's about as custom as it gets in my collection

Beware of that "Belt Mountain pin, SBH hammer, and stock grips stained with..." I'd bet that most holders here of full house custom single actions can say that they started with like homeboy modifications. I can say for sure that I did...

Kings6; Beautiful grips. I still prefer the round barrel, but what the heck. It doesn't lppk like something from Elmer Fudd like the giant overbores above. It's pretty.

Here's my latest, a .45 ACP (only) Birdshead New Vaquero. This one is quite accurate, for what it is.

I like the Ubertis, they are well made and have the familiar old "clickety clack" of the Colt SAA which the Rugers don't have. Of course, one cannot shoot hot loads thru these, but that's what my Ruger 45 Blackhawks are for! I normally shoot .45 Cowboys in it (.45 brass that's the same length as ACP or Auto Rim, but with the LC rim of course, here's a link: www.cowboy45special.com/cowboy45brass.html ). Oh, the bottom one in picture is a .38 Lightning:
