A PROPER 357 MAG CYLINDER FOR SURE. FOR REASONS UNKNOWN TO ME, BUT LIKELY RELATED TO TOLERANCES AND PERHAPS METALLURGY, I AM TOLD THAT YOU CAN ALMOST LOAD THE 357 REDHAWK TO FREEDOM ARMS MODEL 353 LEVELS BUT NOT TO THE 353 LEVEL.

I've almost reached 353 level in my 357 redhawk 5.5". Brass started getting extremely sticky.
I don't own any Starline 357 brass. Might try that in mine next.

I have a 7.5. Inch Redhawk in 41 mag. I bet you would have a tuff time blowing it up with 2400. Unless of course you really tried.

That cylinder is quite the build. My newer Ruger Redhawk in 357 doesn’t look anything like that of course it’s an eight shot…
I only own one 357 but I think if I found something like you show in your picture I’d be all over that just because of the cylinder.

Yeah, it begs for long seated, heavy bullets on H110. So, if you had a 357Max reamer in your left hand, that Redhawk in your right. ? I remember using lower cannelure on 300gr XTP's in a 44 Redhawk. Wasn't worried about tying up the gun, so..

bula: I RECENTLY ACQUIRED A 5.5" SS 357 REDHAWK THAT HAD BEEN REAMED TO ACCEPT THE 360 DW CASE, HAVE NOT STARTED ON THAT LOADING PROJECT YET.

I also have an older six-shot Redhawk 357 Magnum & also a BFR in 357 which has about the same amount of steel around the cylinder. I have 2000 pieces of 360 Dan Wesson brass that I am waiting on through Starline and if & whenever they ship both guns cylinders will be reamed. Maybe if enough of us order another 1000 pieces it will get them to make it.

Good snag there James!
I have a fair amount of experience with one of those,, and if normal .357 ammo is used,, it's a pussycat to shoot. And they are rare enough to where I never recommend reaming them.
