The new sight provides an outstanding sight picture and is easy to adjust. It uses two set screws to hold it in place rather than an interference fit. A 0.050 Allen key is required to loosen the set screws then the sight can easily be drifted. I was able to slide mine by hand. It was very easy to zero. Groups are from 25 yards. This is three different loads.

That's a pretty cool sight setup. But, who's Fermin Garza?

Oh just some guy across the bay from my place.
When he's not colluding with Ronnie Wells he's coming up with crazy new stuff on his own. He has a couple others for regular Blackhawks that I need as well.
One is a rock solid, non adjustable rear sight for use with dovetailed, driftable front sights. The other is a blade replacement for the OEM rear sight but that one may be top secret, not sure. It is a game changer.

That sight is stunning. Fermin is an artist. I want him to develop an Elliason style rear sight for Ruger and S&W revolvers. I have lots of different rear sights using Fermin front sights, but we need more options on rear target sights.

Just a couple of points here….
I want to take a minute and address the square edges present on these sights. These are still in prototype form. Whenever you take on a project like this you have to first get the sight height established. I was pretty sure I had the sight height nailed and as you can see from the pictures Tom was right on at 25 yards. Now that height is on we can use he square corners to locate the corner radius tool and get rid of the square edges.
It’s unknown what kind of response this unit will garner but time will tell. The idea is to have a crisp rear blade combined with a normal height front blade. Your basic Single Six 22 can also be upgraded by simply trimming off the original rounded cowboy style front and drilling and tapping the barrel for a taller crisper front sight.

But, the square edges where they need to be square are as crisp and clean as I've seen and definitely a boon to sorting out the sights through old eyes and spectacles.
That rear sight is especially sweet and the dual locking screws is the neatest idea I've seen on one. I love that rear sight.

It’s not that all the well intentioned are giving bad advice, it’s that often the advice given is not in the correct order. Just like correcting leading issues there is a clear and linear path to getting your sights right. Tom’s sight set is ready to finish and im sure he’ll get you guys some updated pics soon. As always if anyone has any questions or needs just call me.

Looks great, Fermin. I believe you had mentioned to me something about working these up a while back. Well, now I want one - but I’ve already got your awesome front sight on my bisley!
Super cool - I have have to get a front/rear set and hold that other sight for another project.

I'd like to try one of these rear sights, but probably won't unless they can be used with the early Single Sixes and their front sights.
