This has been my most shot pistol since getting the new sights. It is a pleasure to line up shots. Some pictures from last week. Going to shoot it again today.

How do you like the brass front sight? Have been a gold bead fan for many years but never thought about a all brass front blade. I know some of the muzzle loaders have had brass fronts but can't recall seeing it applied to a revolver. However, now that i think about it, some of the old cap n ball guns had brass fronts.

I do like it. It's really great on overcast days or when shooting from a covered bench. The great thing about these Single Six sights is that all it takes is one screw and you can change it out.

.32 H&R single six project #4 is in the planning stage. Base gun, acquired from the theshootist1894, is a 6.5" flattop. Cutting the bbl. to 4 5/8"is an option but haven't decided on that yet. Aluminum RW potatojudge jr. grip frame is a must to reduce weight. Suggestions??

I know I am responding to an old post, but is anyone (Fermin?) making rear sights/sight blades for the drift-adjustable Single Six? The standing blade that Gunny268 made for his SS would work just fine, as would Fermin's fancier rear sight prototype with allen screws for locking. Many thanks for any advice. God Bless, Marc

God Bless, Marc While pulling my SP101 front sight to send to Fermin so he could make me some upgraded versions, we discussed the blade of the adjustable rear (this being the 3 inch model with a sight blade inset into the frame). The design could definitely be adapted to these 3 inch SP101s and would work awesome, but we've all gotta help make these sights profitable before they'd be able to expand. The way to get a request in for future designs is to buy what they're building now!

I have one of Fermin's prototype rear sights for the drift adjustable single six and have also used a tall national match type rear blade from 10-8 preformance in the dovetail of another drift adjustable SS. Both work well and we are still sorting out which we prefer. The 10-8 sight blade was easier for me to fit to the dovetail slot. The 10-8 sight is available from Brownell's.
Would post pics but don't know how.....

Are you saying a standard 1911 cut rear sight will fit a drift adjustable Single Six?
If so, that's some good news. I want a new rear sight for mine.

The 10-8 NM rear sight took a bit of judicious file work to mate it to the dovetail but it wasn't hard. It's also not quite as wide as Fermin's' so it doesn't quite fill the slot side to side. It also. has a locking screw. I had trouble fitting Fermin's sight as it has an extension, front and rear, that rides on top of the top-strap (fore and aft) of the slot, so i couldn't get the base to bottom out. The Version of Fermin's sight I have is a prototype, BTW. I can send some photos if someone could post them; I'm challenged in that regard.
