This is a great place where we all share common interests around handguns, hunting, shooting, casting, loading, etc. But what else do you do? The wifey and I are involved at our church. Over the years we've been involved in helping people get clean and sober. I've played guitar off and on over the years but became more dedicated a couple years ago and have recently started playing with our worship team at church. We try to stay in shape with various exercise. We like to downhill ski. I've been a Ski Patroller for close to 25yrs. Also, snowshoeing, hiking in the summer. Some atving but mainly to get to the berry patches in the fall or me hunting. We like to take our camper trailer and boondock in a couple secret spots and walk in to fly fish for Grayling. I think my wife was born with a flyrod in her hand! Her Daddy did good. Lord rest his soul. Lot's of different outdoor stuff to do here in Alaska. We also enjoy our long haired Dachsund(s). Down to one now.

Riding my mule, woodworking and volunteering are my primary other pastimes. The wife still wants to work and have a lot of interpersonal interaction so she stays busy at the free medical clinic so most my stuff has to be done solo for now. Hopefully she will resign some day so we can do stuff together.

Still working 45-50-70 hours a week depending on the work of each week as the criminals set our pace. I also have two daughters still at home that are both active in sports and school, plus two more daughters at the U of Iowa. I hunt some but not as much as I like, watch an old western or two per week, and generally just keep up with upkeep. I volunteer at church by sitting on our congregation board and sit on our local school board. Pretty boring for the most part and I don’t know if I have time for much else...yet. 4 years, 2 months and 14 days to go to retirement.

27 year firefighter, prior to that did a stint in the private sector as a purchasing agent for 8-10 years, but first did a tour in the USAF straight out of high school. Retirement will begin June 1 of this year. My next career is about to begin, I will be managing hunts on a good friends ranch here in Texas. I’ve competed in archery competitions well enough to shoot for a couple of big manufacturers, as well as hold a state record. Recently I’ve competed in 3 gun and Multigun competitions around the world, and represented the US in international matches. Since I’ve somewhat retired from competition, I hunt as much as I can. I enjoy the occasional fishing trip as well. The fiancé was met during my competitions and she shot as well, so we enjoy hunting and fishing together, she currently works for a local grocery chain and will semi retire from that so we can travel, hunt and fish and see our friends that have been made through competition.

Other than guns and hunting it's fiddling with cars here.

I enjoyed my time living in Fairbanks. I was there in the Army briefly 10 years ago. Managed to drive up the "Haul Road" many hours and successfully hunt a Caribou one year while there.
Since retiring from the Army, the work schedule has changed dramatically. I work every other week. While at home, I get to tackle big projects that last a few days and don't have to wait for the weekend which is great! We mess with cows, chickens and gardens around here. We split about 5 ricks of wood to lay up for our gulf coast "winter". We're new grand parents and have enjoyed this addition immensely. Only one teenager living at the house now. All the others are married off or going to college away from home.

I manage a food ingredient factory... 50 or so hours a week... got hobby / food farm, raise a few head of sheep, usually a couple pigs, chickens for meat & eggs ( Mrs sells eggs, we get about 2 dozen a day ) I'm putting in a paddock system on the farm, clearing & fencing in about 3/4 of an acre of tree line around the farm each year... in another year I'll be adding a couple cows, & a bull... We live on my wife's family Century farm... which means everything is old, & needs fixing... I bought 2 - 35' stacks of scaffolding a couple years ago, for major outside work on the big 4 square 100 year old farm house... I'm a big time reloader, & still have a good firearm collection, even though I sold off about half last year... Got 2 house dogs & a big outside dog... this one is my lil guy down in my gun room, while I was reloading... got a 1938 Nash, 1946 Studebaker pickup ( lifetime project, building an old school hot rod roadster ) a 1960 El Camino the El Camino was bought for my 60th birthday... it's the same age as I am, Mrs still has her 1st car, a 1979 Camaro, got an extremely low miles 2008 Sebring limited Convertible we call our "vacation car"... I don't go on vacations, so we bought that to take "top down" week end getaways, also have my high end 2016 SS Sedan I bought new ( basically in 2016, a 4 door Corvette ) now the new Camaro's have got the same LS-3 6 speed tranny drive train, but this also has the magnetic ride control heads up display on the windshield, & track mode with launch control... thinking that one is a modern collectible, & mostly just take that to shows... but did see 158 mph with it one day, & wasn't anywhere close to wide open Concept art of my Studebaker... got the frame done, starting on the suspension body pieces are in the storage shed, along with a 289 Silver Hawk V-8... like I said above "lifetime project" Did a lot of work on the El Camino this 1st summer... 1st picture is as I bought it... New custom proper width Leather Seat & the window shelf was missing... I made this one 350 5 speed, & air... Missed the picture of our vacation car... I love this thing, was cheap to buy... as a limited, it has a really nice leather interior, the biggest motor, a better auto tranny, has satellite radio, & even had thermo electric heat & cooled drink holders as an option... plus it's old enough license tabs are only $40.00 a year SS is a total sleeper ( until you hit the muffler bypass button, put it in track mode & wake up the 425 HP LS-3 Something else ya may not know... I'm now, not supposed to eat bread ( carb restricted ) but I'm world famous for my breads Mrs is the local wild mushroom expert, so we eat all kinds of wild mushrooms & I like to collect functional "stuff" including pocket watches, straight razors, small farm scales, ETC.

I'm a shipwright and spend a lot of my off time working on my own wood boats or using them. Build small boats for folks on the side occasionally. I like to row in the morning with the dog and come waterfowl season all my hunting is from some sort of oar or paddle craft.

Mostly, annoy my wife like a good husband should. Over the years, have run traplines, backpacked, climbed, ice fished, surf fished, steelhead fished, chased ruff grouse, and other game birds. Freezer often has venison in it. Now and then I shoot sumpin'. Guess I would have failed a gun shot residue test most days since the early 70's.

I like to camp, canoe, ride/work on motorcycles and small engines, do little wood projects, learn how to cook foods that I like to also eat, watch movies, look up/listen to old songs on youtube, explore NYC to look for places to eat, and do lots of woods loafing to scheme about whacking animals.
