..my favorite Ruger gripframe except maybe the Gary Reeder modified Gunfiighter Bisley grip... Do not care for the stock Ruger Bisley grip at all.
Have only had three...a 60s vintage SBH that a friend cut down to 5" back about 1973. An early 80s vintage .41 Magnum BH that had the gripframe replaced... And a couple of years ago found a customized 1971 SBH that someone had a second 4 5/8" barrel added...
Just fits my hand better than the others...

Every Single Action I have has a rounded triggerguard and if I bought another Super I would change it to a rounded guard.
Hate it, won't have it.

It appears that we don't have the same hands, or the same grip, or the same eye. Which may explain why we have different Preferences. The only mistake we have is saying which one is "best".
My knuckle only gets busted by a Colt Police Positive. After analyzing, I have no idea why. On the other hand, my dragoons and other similar styles, have never rapped that knuckle. I find the look exceptionally nice.
So my preference is probably a Yes. Loving something involves more emotion, which I have never gotten over a trigger guard. My diverse group of friends know me as the Chameleon. I adapt. I want to shoot them all well; Variety being the spice of life.

Wow i am impressed so far. we are at 10 that love it or prefer it! Only 8 that hate it. That is news to me! 7 in the middle! Keep em coming guys i really value your opinions. It will help me to develop a better product for you! Just for your info, yesterday evening i moved some geometry around and found that i can move the whole trigger guard forward .188 without a problem for use with the bisley trigger! Im going to try it today! I added an eighth of an inch of extra hole size to the bottom, and .100 forward beyond the original length. Similar to what we did with the FrankenFab! It still looks dragoonie and square. But it will allow much greater room for knuckles and gloves. For those of you who didnt catch that discussion in the grip frame thread previously, i put a bisley trigger guard for use with the bisley trigger on a SBH and fell in love with it. It is mounted on a 500 L which ofcourse is no PUNK when it comes to recoil and it shoots and points well with no contact to my middle sausage! If this works well i will develop a trigger that has the standard Blackhawk strait look and position it correctly! God Bless you David Clements! You have opened up a wonderfull new can of worms for me with your generosity in sharing your trigger and Hammer knowledge with me! Cant wait to have it all available to you guys! Keep em coming fellas and thankyou so much! Seeing all the loves gives me the inspiration to make some improvements! R

And the fact that we all dont have the same hands is why im doing this Prescut! So if we can make a what i feel is an elegant look( Dragoon) comfy to shoot (no Knuckle Smackaroonie) WE WIN! I am all over the place. I think i JUST LOVE SINGLE ACTIONS all! I want twenty five of everything ever made. Hahaha! And i agree with you totally. The only Best, is what works for and is loved , liked, or prefered by the individual. Fantastic reply sir, Thankyou! R

Hi... I have one SBH .44Magnum with the Dragoon style trigger guard. I like it. I shoot my heavy loads with a shooting glove so it doesn't bother my knuckle. I have five .44Magnum revolvers and they all get shot just about every week.
Recoil doesn't really bother me even at my age(65).

I hate the knuckle cracking darn things. Between the stock Bisley frame and the super frame, my middle finger knuckle is half again larger than the other. Thank you Ronnie Wells for your hard work to make better frames!!!!

Put me down for hate, though the word is strong. In my opinion, the only thing my SBH gf has going for it is it’s steel construction. Unfortunately, this pro was not enough to keep it from being replaced by an XR3-Red.
