Zoomed a few pictures... looks like the one pictured had been fired, & the cylinder is dirty ( close up it does not look like chamber liners ) but I do like the look of the hammer... also looking at the proportions it looks like it's between the Bearcat & Single Six as far as size goes??? If I was a grandpa, I'd own one for each grand kid as a reloader I likely won't buy one, but mostly because of the investments I've already made in reloadable 22's

In case anyone is stressing over whether the grip frame is really made of zinc, or whether it is aluminum, as Jeff Quinn reported. I verified with Ruger CS - it is zinc.

picture of the cylinder on line sure looks like it has steel liners for the chambers... barrel is harder to tell, with the crown Barrel is hammer forged steel. The cylinder is steel. Neither is lined.

I like the idea of this gun, a good (hopefully), accurate and inexpensive gun that can serve a lot of purposes. I do kind of wonder, with the single ten and 8 shot SP101, why not make this an 8 shot?

6 is good. 6 is it's roots and what most people want. I wouldn't want a single action cowboy gun that held more than 6. If I wanted a high cap 22 rf revolver . I would be wanting a double action.
I think the term six shooter has an intrinsic appeal for many that want a cowboy gun. I remember as a kid wanting a Colt New Frontier 22 so bad I dreamed about having one. A big part of that was that it was a 6 shooter. Such are the vaugeries of some teen age boys. 😉

Can’t believe this generated so much interest, but glad it did. These will great little six guns for my boys, at this price, I’m sure we will have one if every colour.

From some quick research....
Aluminum vs. Zinc Alloys Just like with magnesium, one of the main differences between aluminum and zinc alloys is that zinc has a lower melting temperature and requires lower pressures for casting. Zinc is considered to be the most castable of all of the commonly used alloys. By having a lower melting temperature, this enables a zinc die to last much longer than an aluminum die. Dies are expensive, and keeping them in service longer will provide a more cost-effective approach to large volume casting projects. In addition, zinc’s lower melting temperature allows for hot chamber casting, which is less expensive than cold chamber processes. By using the hot chamber die casting method, production speed will also be increased. Zinc is one of the toughest alloys around, and it surpasses even aluminum in its ability withstand impact. Another advantage to using a zinc alloy over an aluminum one is that zinc is great for castings with very intricate details and thin walls. When utilizing zinc, very little machining, trimming or finishing work is needed as the lower pressure and melting point reduce the thermal shock it experiences during casting. When casting in zinc, it maintains a smoother surface when a component is ejected from a die.

I would prefer zinc over all the plastic guns out there.

I can’t wait to get my hands on one. I think the value for dollar is going to be very high in our favor.

Good Grief ! Some people would cry if you hung em' with a new rope. Get the message?
Ruger is not cramming this gun down your throat. If you don't like it, don't buy one. It's that simple. I have a beautiful old model SS convertible that I use to dispatch nuisance squirrels in my trap. I'll buy one just to use for that.
I have a lot of expensive tools but since I have a Harbor Freight in my town, I also buy some cheap tools from them. Give us a break and don't crap on the people that do want one. This gun won't be used to protect my life. I have other guns for that.
