I'll say this: They are alive and well in my battery: Bob Wright VERY nice there, bobwright! Beautiful collection of Ruger 44's! I too love the 44's and have had a ton of fun over many years with this as my "go to" magnum big bore! Wouldn't feel ill-equipped in the least if .44 mag was the "biggest" I had available!

I made a tough decision last year and gave up the .44Mag to standardize on the .45 Colt as my big bore. Not a darn thing wrong with the .44 but I really needed to downsize and my .45 Colts will also shoot .45acp so that's what pushed the decision in the Colts favor. If I could only have one round for life, the .44 Magnum would win hands down.

My 44 Magnums will do anything I will ever want them to do. What more can be asked of a revolver?

I was a 44 Magnum guy back in the 80's and early 90's. I blame Ross Seyfried for writing about the 45 Colt for my switch.

It has been my choice in a centerfire caliber for close to fifty years now. I doubt I'll be changing.

I own 35 hunting handguns. From .357 magnum to 378 GNR to 45-70. Not the most used, but my favorite is a Ruger RH hunter in 44 Mag.

Well, we were kinda distracted saving the 44 spec..from the 44mag . LOL. Brass in my tumbler right now, 44mag, for the new to me and unfired by me, Hunter 44mag.. The Scope from BBD. Haven't played with H110 for some years, but this rig begs for it.

Thanks magnum314. Just pulling them out makes me want to show them some attention. Time to load up a fresh batch of 44.

Some of y'all have amazing collections of 44s. As a Southern woods Hunter, the 44 Magnum is my favorite round. It's a real powerhouse out of my carbines and a great revolver round. Here's a hog taken with one of my 44s this weekend.

I have a few revolvers and recently added the Lipsey's/Ruger #1 in 44 Magnum. Not my favorite, but alive and well in my battery.

I believe the vaunted .44 is suffering from terminal hyperbole.. It has never quite lived up to its reputation among the masses...
