Groo here A 10mm auto rim might be nice as it could be cut to 40 length for light loads. However , I think the 10mm with a 40S&W option [aka 357/38] will sell well. Now how about a 2 3/4 in snub? ??

A 3" GP in 10mm would be quite the carry piece.

I handled a 10mm MC GP100 today. I need another caliber like I need a hole in my head, but oh my! I do like the gun.
I'd like it more as a 41 mag, though...

I have mocked up 10 mm rimmed cartridges, that I'll be fitting and loading for my 10 mm Buckeye cylinder... then those go off to Dave Clements, with my GP-100, for a dedicated 10 mm rimmed GP-100 conversion... I'm not thinking I want the cylinder cut for moon clips, when I can make rimmed cases...

A 10mm mag GP100 is tempting. Two summers ago on a backpacking trip with my son I thought a 10mm or 41 special GP100 would be the ideal woods packing gun in my area. On the trip I was carrying my relatively new Redhawk 41 mag in place of my trusty 41 mag Blackhawk. I missed a lot of ground squirrels on that trip. And on the way down after several days of packing the Redhawk I thought a Clements 41 special or 10 was perfect.

I honestly think the 10 mag is too much for the GP-100 unless a custom cylinder was made only holding 5 rounds... on a 6 shot revolver the stop notches are right on top of the chambers, & it looks really thin on the 10 mm... which is why I chose not to go to 41 Special on my up coming Clements conversion... the 41 Special is at lower pressures, but it would be even thinner at the stop notch... I think Dave Clements even warns about "sane" pressures in the 10 mm... going to 10 Mag opens it up to even higher pressures... I'd think unsafe in a 6 shot revolver...

Just picked up mine a few hours ago... DA is smooth and not overly heavy. SA has some takeup but then again most Rugers do due to the transfer bar safety...
I like the green FO front sight with square shoulders...I have the same one on my GP-100 .357 Magnum. Really stands out for my eye. The rear notch is deep enough to be able to see the entire dot.
Was also told that these guns will run with S&W 610 clips, which can be found for less money than the ones from Ruger.
Hope to get it out tomorrow if not then on Sunday...

That sure is pretty, Boxhead. Is the 610 built on the N frame or L frame?

The 610 is an N-frame. I can't believe with the growing popularity of the 10mm AND all the new Ruger offerings that S&W won't bring it back out. Even the ones with locks are selling for over a grand.
