Saw a Ruger S-S Hunter yesterday at a shop in Connecticut....$400.00. Was in the original box BUT the .22 Magnum cylinder was missing. Had a little surface wear but could easily be polished out...
Was at Newington Gun Exchange in Newington, Ct. if anyone is interested...

Three shots outside the group was moving the POI onto the dot...didn't quite get it right but when several shots went into one hole just kept shooting... Extra ammo in the survival kit... All goes in a small bag... Old shoulder holster that has been replaced...

Bob I would have left the GS with a lighter pocket and a smile on my face,,,, but I would have been buying it for the LR anyways. Been a while since I had a SS and used the Mag cyl. and why I jumped on this SS Bisley 22 LR only a couple months ago when they were released. But that's an investment I would have had to get in on.

I got my Bearcat as a gift from a very dear friend many years ago. The serial number puts it being made in 1959: My Single Six (Circa 1968) started out with a 5-1/2" barrel, but now wears a 9-1/2" tube: My Super Single Six has the 9-1/2" barrel:

There is almost nothing like a warm barrel.

So those are mine...hope you will post yours... I know some of you have some real nice ones... But standard factory or a Bowen Custom...all .22s are fun... Bob

Since my last post, have sold the Virginian .22/.22 Mag. and added a Uberti Cattleman, full size with 4.75" barrel... A big shop near where I live had TONS of Uberti sample guns for sale...this one unfired in a generic box for $250.00.

Our local Cabela’s had three Ruger Single Sixes in the Gun Library today. One that I’d never seen before was an unmolested three screw 6”(?). Of course with their lame policy every trigger in the store is in bondage so I wasn’t able to cock it.
What really interested me was a newer 4 5/8” for $500 that looked pristine in the box with both cylinders. Am I correct that the SS use the same grips as the Blackhawk?
