No sir I’ve never had a custom 22. I had a FA model 97 in 22 once but that didn’t stick around long. I need to find another one and have some fun.

If you are only going to have "one" the FA 97 is a pretty good choice...
From 1970 to 1974 I had a Model 18. When I found a 6" Model 53 .22 Jet with extra LR cylinder I sold the 18 and only had that one .22 till the early 1990s when I started teaching NRA Basic Pistol courses...since then things have simply gotten out of control...

What’s the going price on the Ruger Hunters? Both 17 and 22 version.
Thanks!

Scott search GB. No 17's available, 22's are 650-ish

Got to shoot a few rounds from the new Bearcat the other day... At 10 yards the group was centered right in the middle of the target...
Just saw there is now a 6" version...anyone have one yet?

I have a couple of Bisley Ruger 22's. I can shoot circles around them with my Ruger 22 auto pistols. That Freedom Arms posted on the 1st page has to be the best shooting of all. I bet it shoots through the same hole at 25yds.

Squawberry, saw that earlier. No bids on anything over $600 when I checked. Thank you.

Looks like a new S-S Hunter can be had for $633.00. I don't think a lot are sold on GB because any shop can get one in a couple of days. In looking over the completed auctions there were no used .22s sold in the last 90 days but one .17 HMR sold for $605.00.
A used one in the mid $500s would be a good deal.

Don't have access to my computer right now but I have a picture of a 25 yard group the Ruger Hunter shot with the Magnum cylinder of 9 rounds in one large hole the size of ones thumb nail. That was with a 4X scope off the bench with Winchester 40 grain JHP ammo... The group with .22 LR was only a little bigger... This one is no slouch accuracy wise which is why it's still here...

I had / have one of those Beretta Minx .22 short pistols with tipup barrels. Got / carried it for trapping. Mainly on racccoons and opossums. Carried it in front chest pocket of coveralls, had a ruger mark 2 target carried underneath in shoulder holster and a ruger 77v .22-250 in case mounted on 4 wheeler when running trapline.

I've only got one s/a .22, my Single Ten. Love it, especially after ditching the f/o sights for the standard rear & MkII front sight. Here's with its buddy, a '59 Marlin 39A. I'd love to snag a .22 Hunter one day & after fondling a buddy's Bearcat, I find myself oddly fascinated by them.
