Was walking the old railroad tracks the other night when my Black and Tan sniffed up this nasty old possum who then tried to bite off a piece of my coonhound`s hide so while she kept him busy I slipped a "long rifle" from the side using a 2" model 63 and scattered his brains....... "try and bite my dog"

Apparently opossums are much tougher in Minn., hear 480 Alaskans the preferred hardware. LOL. Nice job saving the hound.

I don't like possums... sure a 480 works... real good... but I'm good with your 22 as long as you kill em with a dog... often the hardest part is separation needed to get a good shot... my boy Cody... won't let up on it, to give me the chance to shoot them... same with coons... they'll always escape to the trees... possums are just too slow... always end up fighting the dog & shooting them on the ground

Have always hated possums. Seems like the better the fox / coyote / raccoon / mink trap set was, the more likely a stinky old possum would be waiting there the next day with the set destroyed.

Gee,, that sweet looking dog should have been able to handle a possum all by herself. She is a looker though!
