Went to gunshow. NADA. Went to gunshop, their puter down. Went to bar fro froglegs and a Bud, bar closed. Can't work the gunshops online thingy, and can't get my printer to find Lipseys page on the gun. Cripes, I give up. Had to take a few detours to get home, flash floods of all things. Ok, so what are you guys paying for this gun when ya find it ?

Looks to be about perfect for packing up here. I'm planning on one as soon as I can swing it.

Even tho the Bisley is not the most practical all around handgun. It is still my Favorite. Other than Glocks, the Ruger Blackhawk and Super Blackhawk Bisley's are the only handgun , or really Any gun . That I would like to collect Every model Ruger ever made! Well, the Stainless steel ones anyway.

Am still wanting this gun ! Have decided not to take money from the budget or banks. Some overtime the ticket. A long weekend sat/sun will do it I think. Just have to find the energy. Any further reports from you folks already getting yours dirty ?

Finding the energy is tough for me. And , I promised myself a hydraulic wood splitter this year. I've been splitting my winters firewood by hand for over 4 decades and am tired of it. Plus it wears out my hands. I'm thinking under the Christmas tree would be a great place to find one.

Seems to have a more subdued finish than my 6.5" 480. No shots fired yet, I have a MIHEC mould that I got from the recent group buy which I will be putting into use soon. In the meantime I have some 345 grain Keith SWCs to try out as well as a few 325 grain Hornady factory loads. I'll take it afield come hunting season for deer and black bear. Have you chronographed those 325 gr Hornady XTP factory loads. It seems the new ones have been detuned. I have some older ones from around 2004 that are going 1478 fps avg from my 7 1/2" SRH . which is what they used to do when I got my first one in 2002. I imagine they would be quite lively in the 4 5/8 in Bisley.

First mod, a bullseye ejector rod. Next will be a #5 belt mountain base pin. I've not chronographed any loads in the 4 5/8 gun, perhaps next range trip. The recoil is different than my 6.5" and seems lighter. Next time out I'll bring the chronograph and see what it says.
