Anyone know if it's a distributor special or a catalogued ruger item?

Guns America
....."Next is a new mid-size GP100 chambered for .44 Special. Ruger has produced several styles of large-frame .44 Magnum revolvers but this is a little different. Most commonly the GP100 is chambered for .357 Mag.
This makes the new GP100 a soft shooter with cowboy loads for fun and sport, and for defensive use there are plenty of hot .44 SPL loads out there, too. No doubt reloaders will also come up with a few “Ruger only” .44 Special loads as well.
It’s hard not to want one of each. (Photo: Ruger) The new .44 SPL GP100 has a fully shrouded 3-inch barrel, brushed stainless frame and non-fluted cylinder, fiber optic front and adjustable rear sight. The revolver comes factory with a Hogue Monogrip boot grip..."
Ooooh....Uh...hmmm...3" barrel. Must be the hunting and target model... I was so excited for the better part of 10 seconds.

There are longer barreled models already in the works. I'm really not sure if I will wait for a 4" or just buy the first 3" I see. I'll bet a 4" is next but I would rather have the 3" if there is a 5" version on the horizon.

I'd like both a 3" model to carry or throw in the glove box, and a 5" to carry afield.

The first one has passed through here.. Didn't get to hold it. Heard it was nice.. I'll have a shot at the next one.

Distributor exclusive. It will probably end up a regular catalog item at some point. At least that is my guess. I really like this revolver a lot. It's a well balanced package. Here's a lousy picture of mine.

This would be a great first gun purchase for 2017. Called my local dealer today.
Max, that one looks great! Plans to wring it out and report back?
