No longer available.
Hey yall,
I bought a chamber throat reamer for 45 caliber (.4525) last week and it came in this week. Well I have reamed most of my 45 caliber cyliners and now I want to start putting this out there...
If any of yall are do it yourselfers, I want to offer this reamer to the forum for RENT. No need to buy a reamer and pilot pack for just one cylinder, and if you have several, who wants to pay to have all of them done. I know Tank has a process that works good for him, but not all of us are that handy. Anyway, here is what I have...
Manson reamer and pilot pack from Brownells and instructions.
T-handle for reamer.
You will need cutting oil and a way to clean the reamer between reamings (I use PB Blaster or WD40) so you dont get metal shavings between the cutter and chamber wall.
HERE ARE MY REQUIREMENTS:
The instructions are really good, I just ask that you follow them TO THE TEE!!
I also ask that you either have been a member for a year, or have a minimum of 25 posts (so you have a prescence here).
I ask that you not rent it until you are ready to do the work, and not keep the reamer over a week.
That said, I will rent the reamer for $25 and that will include shipping TO YOU. The return shipping is on you.
I still have a few to do, but want to start building the list, so please POST one time on here and I will add your name to the list.
When I get to your name, I will contact you. If you can get to it when I send it, I will get it on it's way to you.
Thanks a lot!
Oh and Lee is on board with this. I already talked to him.
Here is a pic of my first six shots fired post reaming from my NM flattop. This gun before would not do better than about 3" at 25. This is only 20 but is greatly improved. Circle is about 2" diameter.
