I have one of the moa in 308 bull barrel with brake and the bench rest fore arm. It is a tack driver never really shot much because the company disappeared . But guess that's kind of crazy . I need to brake it out and hunt with it or shoot it more. Doesn't really make scene why he bought and never keep producing such a fine fire arm , just like smith wesson did with Thompson center.

Tried contacting ruger and lipsey. No word yet. Just wondering if they were still producing and selling the ruger single 7 327 mag revolvers. Mostly intersed un the 4 5/8 barrel and possibly the 7 in also.

Loading information from hogden powder tech emailed to me cfe pistol powder. For 44 magnum 300 grain xtp 7.6 grain s of powder 862 fps starting load and 8.7 grains at 987.
My question is what would be starting load with a 300 grain hollow point cast bullet to get around same speeds but not really over safely? Want to be around 850 to 950 ish out of a 5 in barrel.

Was wanting to ask around and see if anyone had a lightly used stainless heavy barrel with muzzle brake encore pistol barrel 12 to 15 in or so long. That they would want to part with from ssk ,bullberry ,mgm or Gary reeder at reasonable price . Before I have one built .

What is best source for the 525 cast performance bullet for load data. Any new data for the 50 alaskan. Thinking of having one built by ssk or reeder.

That is a perfect setup. Like to have one for all my bfr revolvers. Looks like it would be universal in fit. Very nice again.

Yes sir u are right on lead being to soft and the warning wasn't trying to push them that fast. Thats just the first and the lowest charges that Lyman cast manual gave for powder that I had on hand at time that should have been on the money for a 5 in barrel but were quiet a bit more. I was and am still trying to find a load for them to get them around 900 ish where I can at least use them. Just though sumthing funny about them hitting card board point first then them turning on impact base left. But I kind of believe they may have been expanding on impacting. Matts said thet they left 3 in entry hole on wet paper at 900 to 1000. So probably being g pushed way over bullets will do strange thing. But I am still going to slug barrel and cylinders with some of the slugs themselves as soon as time allows. Thank everyone for there help with this. I do belive u are correct on the .430 measurements the one that I partially pushed threw other day rushing around did measure that. Just want to check them all.

Haven't had a chance to measure yet but took the gun apart and cleaned it up really good . It actually had shards of lead in chambers and some lead build up from the 10 or 15 rounds I fired . (I did pick up the bullets they are so shoft that I can scratch lead off with my finger nail.they are sized at .430 they won't fall threw on ther on in chambers but with a little bit of pressure on rod I can start to push threw.) But any way I cleaned it up and took and shot some factory white box winchester 240 grain soft point threw it . Probly 20 rounds at 25 yards shot in a nice little group no bullets holes looked funny . Even shot 5 or 6 out to 75 80 yards at a 8 in gong. 4 out of 5 hits very happy with that for me.

Looked at the cardboard last night all the bullets are hitting nose first. But are turning onece they hit. They may be trying to open up already as shoft as they are. Wont het to do anything with it till maybe this weekend if a goes well. Going to try slug barrel And see, never done it but should be learning experience. Lol. Also whats best way I can measure chanbers. Never done that either. Can it be done with calipers.
