Sorry to hear this...really sickening...
I'm just hoping it was an honest mistake and not someone being paid to swap parts...
Hope it works out...Bob

....I know a lot of you are Recoil Junkies, but the 4.25 and 5.5" .41 Redhawks I have had kick enough with just full power .41 Magnum loads... 250s from a 5.5" run 1450 in a standard Magnum case so with the .410 it will push mid to upper 1500s...and unlike a SA all that recoil comes right back into the web of ones hand...
But that is a GREAT round...have been tempted to send my 5-shot .41 GNR cylinder back to Reeder and have it punched out to .410....

You look at what the unconverted ones are bringing...$1000+. One with a cut down barrel just brought $1350...
799 is very reasonable...especially if you like SBH gripframe...

One just like mine sold yesterday on GunBroker for $1350.00...shortened, looked like it may have been reblued...same year, 1957. And there's another shortened one on there now for I think $950...

Picked up this shortened 1957 a few months ago...it shot so well I bought a sceond one with the stock 6.5" barrel...no pics yet but it was nicely refinished and the transfer bar ignition put in...but for the money it will be a nice shooter...

Had a lightweight BKS model about 20 years ago....ran 100%. Only reason I sold it is because I prefer the Commander... Otherwise it would have made a great carry piece...

Have carried a 1911 daily since the 1970s...behind left hip butt forward...until 2008 with no holster. Have worn it that way many times with just a button up dress shirt at weddings. Unbutton two buttons, slide the gun into place and button up the buttons... Is it fast, no, but if one is aware then the gun always appears in ones hand before the fight starts...
Also have you thought of wearing vest while in town...

Had secured long gun lockers in two vans and a 1996 F250 so leaving a long gun in the vehicle for 30 years was safe unless they stole the vehicle. Now with the 2006 F250 I don't have secure long gun storage so no longer do.
Was Memphis I think that recently put out a report of how many handguns were stolen out of unattended vehicle...HUNDREDS. And they are turning up at crime scenes all over the state.
I've seen where some people keep "Beaters" in their truck so if it gets stolen "no great loss"...maybe if the scumbag who stole the gun killed your kid a few days later they would think differently...

Mackay Sagebrush, who posts here, got one of the 432UCs...was impressed enough that he started carrying it instead of the the 442 he had been carrying for decades.
He's over run with orders for the .32 H&W Magnum full wadcutter load that he makes. He provided a bunch to Lipsey's for testing and they featured it in one of their videos...

Isn't different generations because I've seen guns made in the same year or just a year or two apart be in different boxes...

Looking at new and used Colt SAAs, some come in a blue plastic case and others come in the Colt Custom Shop paper box...
Was just wondering what the difference between them was. Sometimes the CS guns have special grips or different color screws but some just look like ones in the plastic box..
Thanks..Bob
