Commanders and Combat Commanders are my favorite handgun... Have been carrying one in .38 Super daily since 1980...
They just balance and point better for me than anything else...

Had one of the AMT 6" .22 Magnums that was 100% reliable... Most of the feeding problems with them could be traced to an incompatible magazine. A friend also bought a 6" that would not feed reliably...we tried one of my extra magazines and it ran just fine...and the magazine that would not feed in his gun worked just fine in mine so we traded magazines.
Have one of the PMR 30s and several extra magazines...very accurate, 100% reliable but only wish it had adjustable sights...
That said it shoots the sights so it isn't a problem...

A few years ago I was interested in buying one because I have a S&W 500 and a TC Encore and a bunch of reloading components... There was a BUNCH on GunBroker that sold in the $2400-3500 range new and used. Bid on two different ones that sold for less than $2800...one had outstanding wood....should have kept bidding...

Interesting in that when I replace the S&W rebound springs it is with 13#...anything less and often get failure to reset...

Looks like what you are looking for comes up for sale quite often on GunBroker...right now there is a nice one in the box, current bid $1700... Prices seem to run $1900-2500 for a real Colt...

Nice one for sure. But I sold my 44 mag 83 because it was too heavy. This one.... They are heavy but it does tame the recoil when heavy loads are used. Wonder why FA decided to make the .41s a 5 shot instead of a 6...don't think the practical strength would have been any less.

I think I would rather have one of those than the S&W...

"Freedom Arms 252. www.gunbroker.com/item/944447650 this one is going to kill me if it goes this low…"...whoever bought that got a BARGAIN... I have always wanted to try one and almost bid on it...as it was exactly how I would have ordered it.... Bob
