We learned something everyday. I did not know that Bowen would not remove the legal stuff. I probably have not talked to as many as you guys but It is clear some of them have do's and don'ts that others do not. It’s taken years and the story does change sometimes…..

Greg, the boys have been earning these bears so far, wind, rain, snow, rattlesnakes & one mean, nasty Forest Grouse hen with a bad attitude!!! Dick Funny how a mad bird will make a full grown man squeal (me).

REALLY NICE LOOKING GUN, TOO BAD THEY DID NOT CLEAN UP THE BARREL AND DELETE ALL THE RUGER WRITING. I find it very hard to believe that between Bowen and Turnbull that one or both did not advise the customer to get rid of the lettering. In my conversations with any of the gunsmiths that I've talked to they make no bones about telling you what you should be doing, what you shouldn't be doing and what they don't like to do. So at that point it makes me think that was customer driven. Well, it’s a Clements build…. Bowen will not remove the markings unless it is disturbed by shortening the barrel. Have to get a custom barrel in Bowen’s shop. That being said, David would remove the markings and I totally agree that it should have been done. If it weren’t for the Turnbull blue a guy could still have it done but sending it back for the bluing makes it somewhat cost prohibitive (whatever that is…)

Great Pics Dick and congrats to your Grandson!
I was in Idaho Falls all last week and the weather was less than hospitable.
Tough hunting in that wind!

Too bad the reloading dies aren't with it.... Reeder sells Hornady dies at a reasonable price. He supports his wildcats better than Federal did their 338. If that goes cheap enough it’d be worth sending back for a new 41 mag cylinder. My thoughts exactly…..
