What various 22 Magnum loads do you guys find most accurate in your Ruger Single Six's?
Thanks.....

FWIW I've got Reeder building a Single Six with a 22 Mag barrel.. Currently a couple of months into the build cycle. Sitting here waiting with high expectations. Also having a matching 22LR Reeder custom built with an appropriate 22LR barrel... Looking forward to actually shooting these and providing some range reports. Guess I really need to hunt up some Bisley grip inserts for a Ransom Rest while I'm waiting.. You guys don't want to know how well I shoot. The question is how well will the Single Sixes shoot!

Mine likes the plain ol' Winchester DYNAPOINTS, 45gr lead hp.

I've always had the best luck with the old standby 40gr Winchester JHP's.

Thanks guys. I'll try some Winchesters.
Has anyone else found CCI 22 Mag's horribly inaccurate in a otherwise accurate with the long rifle cylinder Single Six?

I have yet to make up my mind, but please give the Federal 50gr HP a try. At some point, bullet weight trumps velocity, in handguns. stevemb

Winchester was the answer. The most dramatic accuracy change between ammo I've witnessed. Went from not being to keep it on a 12"x16" target rested with CCI's at 25 yards to 1.5" groups with Super X 40gr JHP.

No doubt, the 50gr Federal is good stuff. Though, Super X shoots well in my gun and is going just over 1400fps. The bullet performance ain't bad either.

Yuck. That creature looks like it was already a week dead before you shot it.
