That buffalo looks "like you owe him money" as Robert Ruark would say. Great sketch and it should make an awesome holster. This is a really neat project, thanks for posting the pics.

The buff will be a nice touch. My best shot of one. Ruark does come to mind. I'd like to get something made with this shot.

The donor gun and barrel blank have both arrived: Jack Huntington was also nice enough to donate a Ruger No. 1 barrel band; that should arrive this week. Dad and I are pretty busy the rest of August but we hope to start the conversion around Labor Day. I'll keep you posted. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

No problem. I really enjoy projects like this. The cylinder will be 1.80" diameter so we'll be opening the frame window to 1.83 - 1.84" (around 0.060" to mill since the stock height is 1.76"). -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

Something about modern technology and that he won't allow anyone, including his son, to embarrass him by using primitive hand tools -- or something like that! ;D
